1. Hello again friends! Aloha, guten tag, Buenos tardes, こんばんは.

I know you have missed us. It’s been a while since we’ve stirred the pot, and frankly we have found that the bottom has gotten rather…ah…sticky. You know how it is, little bits of carrots and onions get mashed on the bottom of the stew, and then you can’t get them off even when you scrape really hard. It’s the pits.
[Freelancer,Oct 27 2008, 04:56 PM]Na, I'm done...
So here we are. Hopefully you haven’t been too terribly over-sauteed. Of course at this point you’re wondering why we’re posting, because though The Brain is endlessly humble, peerlessly self-deprecating, and supremely modest, you have by now become accustomed to nothing but earth shatteringly hilarious, clever, and momentous missives flowing forth from our lowly corner of this fine world.
[Freelancer,Nov 3 2008, 01:08 PM]Dude I can't do this anymore, I mean play !! I'm out no !@#$, I'll swing bye from time to time, howewver once Free is gone in 18 he will be gone along with any reminents
It is in that light that I bring a bit of sad news. Many of you know that The Brain has played home to the gallant Freelancer of the nation Sepritists. He has tickled many pickles, and may or may not take responsibility for any amount of shenanigans visited upon the world of BOB in his time. But those times have come to an end, as the chivalrous Freelancer has alerted The Brain of his imminent departure from the world of Cybernations.
[Freelancer,Nov 3 2008, 01:27 PM]I just can't do it anymore, this game takes alot out of you, especially when you need to have your attention in the RW..
Of course you all know that the mighty Freelancer has never held any official position in The Brain’s hallowed (if somewhat dingy) synapses. Yet he has always acted as our most trusted ADVISER in all matters Cybernations and otherwise, and has bought us all BEERs of exceptional quality upon request. Freelancer is an excellent chap and we have wept the bitter tears of unfathomable sadness knowing he is going to be lost forever.
[12:20] <Freelancer> Well that will be it for me then, 18 days of inactivity and you'll see me vanish into the sunset, no long goodbyes and anything of that nature.
BUT. In every loss is hidden an opportunity, and this loss – though exceptional in other ways – is surprisingly not an exception. Therefore at this point The (illustrious) Brain would like to extend a special invitation to a special member of the community. This is not an all-expenses-paid trip to the Bahamas, but we think it is even better. It is in this spirit that The Brain invites one CORA MCSTRAP to join us and become our new, beloved ADVISER extraordinaire.
[Freelancer,May 4 2009, 09:55 AM]I will becoming very inactive here shortly...
Oh CORA MCSTRAP, would that you should find it in your heart to oblige our humble request. Of all, you alone are qualified to offer us guidance in all matter Cybernations and otherwise, and to purchase us BEERs of exceptional quality upon request. Of all, you alone are most well equipped to understand the feebleness of our collective intellects, and to understand how we need an ADVISER of your caliber.
[Freelancer,Jan 15 2010, 07:28 AM]I'm glad I deleted...
Please circle yes or no, and send the note back after class.

    Heart,
    The Brain.

  2. The Brain would like at this point to make the following official announcement

Firstly Shane-o's post, whilst he is a leader of the The Brain, is speaking personally in this thread and thus necessarily represents the Brain government. We do however believe in free speech, but this thread doesn't really need any more if it, as we've already said what needed to be said. The first time.

We also add to the sentences posted by Shane which can be interpreted as a promise towards The Brain, I feel the need to assure members of The Brain, we won't not let any neurons get not curbstomped. This addition is necessary; for in allowing our members to express their own personal freedom of speech, which Shane himself has done, alas we must create the impression of representing The Brain's views as a whole. And not letting our neurons not get not curbstomped, is an impression we must create.

Secondly our birthday is today. Shane hit it right on the head date and all congratulations lol.

  3. While we acknowledge the withdrawal statement of Cora, the USN leadership is a three part Admin Council. The talk about a democracy seems cheapened when one AC member can flat out contradict another, and we all seem to think that post is more valid, simply because it was much nicer and more polite.

As I see it either, one of these elected members has greatly overstepped his bounds and betrayed the general membership that elected him, or having noticed the unpopular nature of the post, the USN is now backpedaling. We at The Brain appreciate the courtesy withdrawal but, at this time, remain unconvinced of the intent of the original post.

  4. remember, friends don't let friends e-lawyer out of treaties, clearly 6 defined articles of elegantly written text are needed just in case one of us does try to weasel our way out. Its a known fact you cant have friends unless you've got the legal documents to prove it :P

Ah. Clearly, I have missed the point entirely. Thank you Fronz for setting me straight.

Let a needlessly long treaty be written so we can show each other just HOW good of friends we are!

  5. I'm really getting annoyed by this trend of vaguely-worded treaties, but it's your choice, I guess. congratulations to CSN and the Brain.

Allied Threat and I wanted to leave it at, "I love you and got your back, unless it would suck to do so. Not your normal suck, but black hole of fail suck." but everyone else seemed to want clarification or some such trash. So we fudged the rest.

IMO, what more do you need?

  6. To say it again,

Thanks to MA for all the help and support they have given us during our infancy, from the blankey (which we still have btw), the milk bottles warm with love, to the crowbars for beating away those !@#$%^& zombies that keep on trying to eat us. It's clear we wouldn't be where we are today with out your protection and care. So rock on. You rule thusly we rule. Let's go bowling.

    Mr3looc

  7. I previously had great respect for OBR but this has shattered the illusion I had of them as an honorable alliance. It is ridiculous to think that any alliance would have honored such a treaty/scam but the fact that they pulled the wool over so many of our eyes is quite disturbing.

I couldn't agree more. As everyone else has said, why bother? It's not like the Geneva Convention or the UN are going to go in a make sure people follow the legality of a treaty.

This will and should have profound impacts on OBR and treaties in general I feel.

  8. A short (and incomplete) history lesson about The Brain, very short (and very incomplete). The Brain was created by Mr3looc, Theragu40, and myself. We all spent a great deal of time in the leadership of the USN hence the connection to both Xiao Weng and Freelancer. I was also a part of NOON's first iteration with Freelancer.

Hands have been held and skipping has taken place...

You would think with all the hand holding and skipping we could have come up with a more detailed history than that but...
