  1. You will be missed ocho. I remember when I joined Umbrella how crazily in love you were with this alliance. It's sad you don't see it as your home anymore. Also thanks for the tri nomination you gave me when I was there. Even though I couldn't go through with the election that nomination brought a smile on my face :)

Have a good life. Hope to catch you on IRC sometime

  2. Or maybe they didn't want to be affiliated with that "side" anymore (and has for some time, the threat of war just sparked the action), regardless on how they think the outcome will be. Didn't think you saw things so black and white godfather ;)

Of course, I might be wrong as well, nevertheless I can't say I don't like what I'm seeing.

If they were canceling PIATs or even ODPs I would have understood the decision. If the environment on planet Bob would be more certain I would have understood the decision. However, if you tell me LoSS wake up one fine day and decide they don't want to be affiliated with most of their allies anymore, it is something I fail to believe. It is not about seeing things black and white Xavii, it is about seeing through the crap posted in the OP.

  3. More than likely when those treaties were signed, LoSS felt that it could honor those treaties. Now, it feels it cannot, should war erupt, and so to avoid having to dishonor a treaty in wartime, it has nipped them in the bud before war comes.

A sudden change of heart so close to a war, i won't buy this theory. It would have been better if LoSS would have just come out and said "we think our allies have a lesser chance of winning this war and so we can't be allied to them anymore as we love our infra so much"

  4. You do realize that "jumping ship" implies that the ship is sinking ... right?

The ship is having some problems definitely..I am not directly related to any of the sides so I can't comment for sure. What I see here is disappointing behavior on LoSS's part, dumping numerous allies to join the other side.

  5. Sure man, they cancel on the status quo - the strongest set of alliances there is...

I call this brave, not jumping ship.

I'm guessing they just hurt your personal feelings by cancelling.

Are you saying if your allies are strong it gives you a reason to cancel on them. If they had canceled on one or two alliances with proper reason it would have been understandable. Canceling on 5-6 alliances, definitely jumping ship.

  6. As was said previous, these are all cancellations.

The way I figure it, LoSS has seen the writing on the walls when it comes to global conflict. They evaluated who they are and who they truly want to support/stand/fight with. That didn't jive with their set up so they changed the set up. Brave? Probably. Exciting? Definitely. Sinister? Nope.

More like when things started looking a bit uncertain for their allies, LoSS decided to jump ship.

    Typical LoSS
