  1. Very true...I was thinking recently that the common census now in CN is to go something along the lines of: Stock Market, SSS, UHC, IS, etc. for the Wonder order...

Surely mistyped UHC and intended to put something different in there, like DRA. The Universal Health Care wonder requires a nation to have 11k infra, requires you to alread have your National Reserch Lab and costs 100m, quite outside the range of a nation just getting into wonders...

  2. This is for an 8 bonus resource trade circle. Bonus resources are Construction, Asphalt, Automobiles, Steel, Scholars, Microchips, Rad. Cleanup and Jewelry.

All teams may join as I am not restricting it to any one color. Please provide the following information if you want to join.

  3. I personally would get gold because it would increase your pop income.
Next time, read his post. He has gold as a native resource.

I would definitely say go with either fish or wheat, or both. If you decide to go with only one of them, a trade like lumber or iron will help cut down on infra cost and upkeep.

  4. Actually, I quite like the fact that you can't quite calculate out the precise cash flow from this. That's what causes the rigid "best" strategies we see in improvement building, trades, and such.

Also, if all we're interested in is maximizing efficency, why aren't we all building furnaces or something instead?

Because that 'feature' hasnt been implemented... yet.

  5. Do the math for your nation as i did for mine, it says:

    Mars route

    Total wonder costs 2,248,800,000

Days to pay off at average ~290

    Moon route

    Total wonder costs 1,124,400,000

Days to pay off at average ~160

You also may want to take into account the lifespan of the wonder (Martian vs. Lunar) in addition to the net bonus you receive in relation to the lifespan and cost.

Personally, given that the martian wonders provide a larger happiness boost and last 2x longer for exactly 2x the cost, I see them as being better.

  6. both mines can be upgraded to a new resource for a fee

I feel that compared to the costs of the wonders, the option to randomly change the mineral you have access to is ridiculously cheap. If I pay $490 million for this wonder (the price of a Martian Mining Base for my nation), whats even the point of charging me $1.1 million to change my resource? That cost is so trivial that is it like the $500 improvement deconstruct fee. Either make it free or make it substantially more, preferably the latter given the extreme expense for these wonders...

  7. Honestly? I think they are too expensive for their benefits. It would cost me 688 Million to get a Martian Base. It would cost me another 490 Million each for a colony and a mining base. Those three would provide a total of 14 happiness, -3% infra cost and upkeep, and 5% citizen storage, and access to Sodium which would provide a further +2 happiness for beer and +2 happiness for fast food to my nation.

Those figures are assuming maximum happiness is being given as it states "Provides a gradually increasing happiness bonus that peaks at +6 happiness at the end of the life of the wonder." which I interpret as over time you will gain more happiness up to +6 happiness. This also does not take into what "effectiveness" truely equates to which such a generic description of what it could impact.

"The closer in miles that a facility is to the hotspot the more effective that wonder becomes," effective in what way? More citizens? More happiness? Better bonuses? Generic.

I don't know if I can justify spending nearly 2 BILLION to get the bonuses these wonders provide. I can't honest decide if they will EVER pay for themselves.

  9. I agree, any resource combo that is in the 3br or 5br or even the 8br sets should at least be labeled medium, if not better.

Those are some of the best sets in the game and forming a trade ring for those sets shouldn't be that hard (not easy, but not excruciatingly hard).

  10. I am attempting to create a trade circle among members of the purple team.

This circle will provide your nation with the bonus resources of Beer, Construction and Fast Food. In addition to these, your nation will also have the bonuses of uranium and allow you to purchase nukes (provided that you have to proper government position).

  11. Topic says majority of it. I would need the April donation to be made before or on April 5th.

Your choice between receiving 15m or 12m + 100 tech. I would prefer to do the 12 + 100 tech offer as it uses less slots, but its up to you.

    PM me ingame.
