  1. But i just would like to ask everyone, what would your reaction be if an alliance were to use your country's flag as their ingame flag?

I think in CN game menu, my country's flag is used, and I don't care, personally. And if anyone wants to use the my country's flag for their alliance / nation, or whatever cultural symbol- well- great. If nobody does- also great.

Remember this is cybernations' planet Bob. As far as I am concerned, "Singapore" can be a nation populated by Slavs using the Ruble as the currency. Also, apparently in planet Bob, a chunker of "India" flies the "DPRK flag" and has been commie for 365+ days and uses the Dinar -_-

And sometimes a "take it easy" approach is best. The Merlion is such an awesome design that so many ppl like it best to keep it even as a symbol for a alliance in a game! Think that way bro, life becomes easier. I understand the rules but come on, be chill, in India we have rules which restrict the use of Mahatma Gandhi's image, also national flag- but seriously, I see no problems with it and I've seen Gandhi's img pop as avatars now & then. Just chill. Well, if a CN alliance uses any of my cultural oOC symbols as their IC symbol- awesome, I'd be happy to see it used by ppls.

This whole incident unfolding here is necessity created out of sheer redundancy. :gag:

And if someone happen to deface the ingame flag of an alliance, as a joke during a war, which happens to be the flag of your country, i think some of you might feel as pissed as Ching. so why open Pandora's box??

I wouldn't. Seriously. Because this is Planet Bob, not PLanet Earth. Just ID'ing the 2 could've prevented a lot of fiasco. There is many ways to show oOC patriotism, but not like this. There are countless avenues to showcase patriotism. But not by dragging it into the digiverse.

  2. As we share a landborne boundary Southwards with Tibet, we request his Holiness does everything within his power to ensure the conflict does not cross the Nathu La pass.

And we'd also like to send a greetings to the ruler(s) of Tibet. And should Tibetian troops run into civilians desiring a Socialist regime, in the areas concerned, the People's Democratic South Asian Republics (PDSAR) is more than ready & willing to fully accomodate them on our own expense.

  3. Just set your AA to none and wait about 10 minutes for the "Join Us" messages to roll in.

True, but drop to none, and those recruitment roll ins will be competing with friendly neighbourhood eyepatched dudes with hooks & bottle loads of rum, dropping by, looking for lots of technology units stashed in treasure chests, harrrrrrr.

  4. should have had one out first but personally i figured better to get one out thats decent late than bad early, and thanks to my ministers now i have a !@#$%* late one...

Blaze, I am not here to argue against your CB, or to judge which side is right or wrong.....but I will tell you that pointing fingers at your ministral staff esp. in times like this is very bad form. Those are not the types of leaders troops would typically be too eager to get ZI'd for.

At least the TPF aliance was open minded enough to grant your non governmental alliance mates a new home.

  5. another one bites the dust...

I was personally following Comrade Yuusha's fights regularly, and he did fight hardcore to the end, I didn't think he bit anything. Granted he wasn't going to change the war in favour of GATO, but he did come off as a quality opponent.

Comrade Yuusha fought like one of the adversaries I fought against NoV- called Ortmonk of Jubali. When my time comes (and it will, so will everyone else's) I just wish I can tell some wartales which would come at least 30% close to Yuusha or Ort.

  6. Seriously, first and foremost, a big bow of respect to NV. And secondly to all the diplomats of LSF, CPCN and NV which made this treaty possible.

And I make a personal plea to all CPCN comrades not to entertain Weiss in this thread please.

  7. your post did nothing but repeat others!! woo hoo!

i just cant stress how thankful i am that you pointed out i was in an allaince

stop harrassing me over this ITS OVER YOU DONT NEED OT KEEP POINT OUT MY NEWB FLAWS

:gag: man, you missed the point. Noone's insulting lol relax.

Anyway, well, you learnt man....I am sorry it was rough....but as others said, this thread is in dire need of a burial, else I might spew out my intestines out amidst all the lulz. But not only in CN but also in general a smile is always better than a frown, when coming out of a sticky situation.

And getting attacked by Paulpig w/a "Tech Raid. PM for peace" attitude is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than some of the DoWs I had to endure.....the most memorable being "Hi frm South Korea." Another one is "Tito killed Croats" ....wich are pretty much fancy emo filled ways of saying "Tech raid. Don't PM for peace"

Seriosly, good for you Paulpig & Avalanche and also RAD are merciful on you and so is modern CN environment of today. If Paulpig's alliance or the one u jumpshipped wanted to make this episode a part of an entertaining ZI show, , when you was neutral, nobody'd stop them. Modern cyberverse is quite merciful on ye tht way...compared to a CN decade back....we're not commenting on entertainment here lol, but on your fate, which would've been an object of entertainment, for all but you- a good CN decade back or so lol....

So with that said, I join the pro "thread lock" opinion bandwagon.....

  8. What do I care? I care because this is an opportunistic move by CPCN (shocking, I know rolleyes.gif ) and a slap in the face from NV who up until now I thought were my reasonable friends. Whether we can actively attack them at the moment is irrelevant. We're still at war. To take someone on as a protectorate while they are at war is simply bad form.

If this qualifies as opportunism, then all black sphere alliances are also opportunistic, by your definition. The Goonland Security Act is still active in the black sphere. GOONs never recalled it. All black senators need GOONS approval, but I don't see that being too enthusiastically followed. But is it fair to go calling black team alliances as opportunistic because of that??

  9. And I believe you still need to develop some carriers for me tongue.gif
OOC: Z0MGZ0RZ Josipito is back awesome.gif

oOC: Thanks for the welcomes and reminders comrades. Had access issues (yeah public sector ISPs lol)..but now I'm back. I'll try and find my old threads and get started on the ball.

  10. Police station in the PDSAR? Never, even if the alternative was perma-ZI ha ha.

And seriously though, environment has always been an issue for me, environment in my nation is sort of like Stalingrad in 1952 lol (brief oOC referrence) so the +1 enviro bonus is pretty strong. And the happiness factor should counterbalance population loss.

  11. I don't think this is brown nosing the NPO, honestly. For one the OP has a 39 day old nation, 10 tech, and 30 infras (as per Jun 12, 3:00 PM +5:30 GMT). Dunno what you can brown nose with that. If the OP had say, a 200 day old nation, 300 techs and 4000 infras, or at least some salvegable assets, I can pass this off as brown nosing. But not now. At this stage of the OP's nation life, if he wanted to "survive"- re-rolling is a far easier option... And moreover, he has had only 243 casualties, so this is not a "beat down" vet either.

What would the OP gain by brown nosing the NPO?

For one, it is a pleasure to see combatants speak sportively of the opponent, a welcome change from BS like this.

  12. Officially, the PDSAR maintains no gulags, and official reports indicate recent PoWs taken up by the PDSAR Armed Forces have been treated well. So, in the light of those human rights *cough* record, we are not able to support labour camps in Transvaal. However, it is their country, not ours.

  13. I am reduced in NS by 50%, so no I'm not better off but I am defiant and ever Vigilant... popcorn.gif

...ever vigilant in what? Catching that train to ZIabad :awesome: You're already half way there man...

But you should post all battle reports, not just selective ones...Otherwise, what's the point of this thread?

  14. it will take me quite a while to recover 350k in things i have lost since im making 40k a day...........

You can easily make that money just by doing ONE simple 50 tech trade, for 1.5 or 1.3 million. You should be able to get 1.5 mil. The profit you make will more than cover that amount (350k).

Losing infra & tech isin't the end of the world. How hard is doing a 50 tech trade? Come ON!!!

YOu weren't expecting your troops & tank crews to be playing ring-o-ring-o roses and petting rabbits all day were you? I'd thank Paulpig if I was you. Because you just got exposed to combat system directly, first hand. That is always good experience for you. And moreover, asking for reps - that too 350k reps, is a waste of aid slot economy. If you did a 50 or a 100 unit tech trade, it is a MUCH more efficient use of your aid slot. You should maybe PM your alliance leaders / seniors and tell them to hook you up w/ some tech trades.

  15. Tech raiders are bullies.

    From long time neutral coaster:

DISCLAIMER: ONLY PERSONAL OPINION, NOT DIRECTED AGAINST OR FOR ANYONE

I was a full time neutral coaster in past life and most of my present nation's life was also on the gray sphere. And I did get my fair share of getting raided. So I think can reasonably comment as a none (not NONE btw).

As neutral, there was no alliance forum, no aid, no alliance news, no politics, no nothing. So getting raided made the game fun. What's the point of playing a game only to see numbers, infra and tech grow by clicking collect tax & pay bill (2 buttons) lol? I can do an algorythm in Q basic easily for that :)

And many times, raiders got me accustomed with the notion of seeing 1 months hard worked infra razed to the ground. I am used to it. So, now that I am in alliance, I would be more inclined to stick on the frontlines and not get swayed by individual surrender terms, if my alliance finds itself in a abyssmal pit, hypothetically. I am happy of that. Whereas if I didn't take losses and jumped straight into alliance, I may not know how I'd react if I get really hit.

Also, raiders ensured I was on top of my stuff, with the combat system. And many times, raiders became traders.

Here are some of my tips to protect yourself from raider as neutral:

    1. 20% troop deployment w/o alliance protection is like wearing neon light sign and saying "RAID ME." 24*7 DEFCON 1, routine military improvements (you ain't getting a wonder going this route so no point of mention), and most of all maximum tank & troop deployment are a must.

    2. Change AA to "jkdngkjsd" so the lazy raiders get screened off (and there are lots of lazy raiders lol, myself included).

3 (most important). FILL UP YOUR AID SLOTS PLEASE. 50 tech for 900k, 100 tech for 2.8 million. Just get into such a relationship w/a larger alliance, or get into routine tech trades w/ larger alliances. You may need to make yourself more price competitive, but it's worth. And in nation bio- MENTION THAT. Something like "Currently doing tech trading w/ (insert alliance here), check aid screen ye pirates before DoW!" Alliances don't like their techs jipped.

    4. If you built a school as your first improvement as gray neutral, or a CHurch or something, you DESERVE to get raided. You need guerilla camps. ANd get used to working in a war economy. I never endorsed peace mode myself, unless I really need it and are planning to protract in a war, but as a general tactic, it is sort of lame.

    5. And if all else fails, and you get raided, well, response to your attacker sportively, and ask if he'd like a tech trade instead. Or alternatively, you can request 3 rounds of wars, just troops only and have winners keepers. Many times, you win back some tech you lost too. OR just be sportive.

    6. Don't think of getting raided as being victimized, but more so being put thru boot camp in Fargaana province (brief oOC referrence). That mindset will make you less secceptable to complain. Less complaining = more survival. Hey, that's how the world is, and I didn't make it that way. But it's neither good or bad, just sort of like "Sahara Desert." It has no life, it has no vegetation, living there is hard, but it's there & there to stay. Part of world landscape, so is tech raiding in Planet Bob.

    7. Don't keep tech stock. Try to keep tech stock as nil as possible and keep doing tech trades so tech doesn't stay as stock, but gets rotated....and that too for profits! You get money AND protection AND a natural raider repellant.... If u don't have tech, then raiders don't have an incentive to raid ;) And keep in mind that each tech trade you do, you are making profits to pour into infra or whatnot.

    8. Stock cruise missiles. They make tech raiding uneconomical. And stock up an Airforce when you just get tech (before trading).

    9. Keep your land : infra ratio at 50%, as in your land = 50% infra. If you got 900 infra, get 450 mi. land. That makes ground engagements a bit easier, I noted.

Except for the "raiders" who DoW'd using "Die red filth!" (I didn't hide I was commie in nation bio ever even as neutral), "Tito killed Croats", "Hi from South Korea" , "Hi Frm Bosnian SS!" or something, I looked at my raiders as teachers more so than bullies.
