Operation Mountain King

Looking over the reaction from the rest of the world, Tom Dobbs smiled. The annexation of the protectorate had gone better than expected. Even New England had applauded the move. Little did they all know that it was simply a move to make the Federation stronger, a larger world player. With its former makeup, enemies could easily surround the Federation and constrict them. Now, the Federation had a little bit more breathing room, and with the extra land, their plans would be put into action.

"So, Generals, are we ready for this plan?" A nodded agreement was heard around the room. "Good. Three bases, all massive in size and scope. One in the mountains just north Atlanta, west of Lake Sidney Lanier. One just north of Redemptio as a part of the Central Line, and one just Sumter South Carolina, just north of Lake Marion. Also, the Central Line. We need to build this wall, going from Melbourne, just north of Redemptio, and to Tampa. Also, border and sea defenses need to be expanded to Georgia and South Carolina. And finally, we need to begin EMP-proofing all military and government electronics, and then civilian electronics. Place a message out to all manufacturers that new electronics equipment from the Federation needs to be EMP-proofed to be sold. We good?" Nods from around the table came, and then the generals left to give orders.

OOC: This is going to be the only post in this thread from me. Further developments will come in the Umbrella Project thread. As for the three main bases, if anyone has ever played Frontlines: Fuel of War, the mission "Mountain King", the base is like that. Four massive outer walls with huge troop turrents. Tunnels run throughout, and the main area is closed down by massive steel reinforced doors. Generators and control areas are many levels down. The main levels of the base are protected from direct nuclear strikes and bunker buster bombs.

There isn't a picture of the base completed, but here is a picture of teh size, and the walls partially destroyed so you can get an idea of the size and scope of what I am building.
