Viluin Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 I had an open trade slot and two pending offers, but I wasn't able to accept either of them because it said "Limit reached". This was kind of inconvenient because one of those trades was a permanent trade I had to accept, and the other was a temp trade I wanted to do first.
Locke Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 You can't accept trades if you have more than your limit; 'tis the way it's always worked. You'll have to cancel one to accept the other.
Blue Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011
You can't accept trades if you have more than your limit; 'tis the way it's always worked. Viluin Posted March 9, 2011 Author Report Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) That doesn't make it any less stupid, though. It said "limit reached" even though I had an open trade slot, surely that is not intended. Seems like a bug no one bothered to fix. If I had canceled the permanent trade offer then I might have had to wait several days to get it because I have no idea how active that guy is. Edited March 9, 2011 by Viluin
Captain Nathan Brittles Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 It works as designed. Your limit was reached. You had four accepted trades and 2 potential trades when you're allowed a total of five. As I recall at one time you couldn't have pending offers over what you could accept. This was changed to avoid the problem of a random trade offer blocking the trade offer you were expecting. While providing this extra flexibility you still had to delete potential trades in excess of those available to accept a trade in keeping with the original design. It was never the intent to allow players to stockpile trades in the fashion you described.
