We daresay this portion of the African Treaty nulls all notions of credibility this organization may have garnered.

"We agree with Nod on this issue. A colony in Africa should be generally frowned upon and not accepted into the league."

It does not really matter what either of you think, as you are not in the League. Furthermore, the Islamic Union of Maghreb alters its vote regarding the Atlas Empire to 'No' rather than 'Abstain.

OOC: I meant to make this closed.

Then we we clarify our position with regards to this 'League of Africa'. Should the League be deemed a force that promotes or protects colonization of Africa - the Nation of Nod would be of the first to exact appropriate measures to rectify the situation, in tandem with the sentiments of other like-minded African nations.

Colonialism, while frowned upon by the Caliphate may certainly be positive force such as in building infrastructure, educating the populace, and raising the standard of living for Africans who currently live under protectorate status. However, should there exist any sacking of African resources, abuse of African citizens' rights, or having any negative presence in African affairs then we must certainly act.

The nation of Nod is exaggerating a bit as the League would never promote actions negative to African afairs, so long as we have a say. Obviously we should all act if anyone promote actions that put the well fare of the continent at risk or threaten the well being of its people. We kindly ask that Nod exit the League's forums of communication please unless and untill you submit an application to join.

Finally, if the Union of Free Africa may please be changed to the Caliphate of Africa.

"A positive force, you say? While our nation might not have fought alongside the valiant United Mechodamian States, Novak and the Rebel Army during their swift and decisive victories over Italian colonials of the past - we dare say many an African would object to your characterization. We would also venture to say that Africa as a continent is not comprised of citizens so underdeveloped, and uneducated that they cannot lift themselves out of their 'plights' without the aid of benevolent imperialists. We do recall these same woeful Africans shedding much blood in ridding themselves of these benefactors! But perhaps such delicate intricacies are lost on us."

"We will deign to your requests in the spirit of joining the League in welcoming our new Imperialist Overlords to our continent. May we all embrace their loving care together, so that we may benefit from it."

OOC: Tongue-in-cheek, although you're new, so perhaps you wouldnt understand what i was referring to.

"We would like to know why Maghreb is against a pure, growing African nation joining the league. Is it because we were aginst your opinion?"
[/quote]

It is a rare feat in this world that someone seeking admission to a bloc that they would criticize the very treaty they wish to place their signature upon, swearing by all they hold dear to uphold its laws.

It is rarer still that someone would be looked upon favorably by the signatory nations after criticizing a treaty which those same nations have sworn to defend with their lives.
