"Earlier today, a 2 billion dollar Tagruato satellite was shot down by an unknown attacker. T.I.D.O Wave does not have the technology to attack this satellite, nor does the Kingdom of Chunai. We suspect a nation has been collaborating with T.I.D.O Wave to destroy Tagruato's hard work. This 2 billion dollar satellite had improved radio frequency and television performance. The attack on these satelittes was purely a terrorist move.

If you have any information on the attacker of innocent Tagruato, please inform the company immediately. The second satellites launch is currently delayed."

TIDO Wave should know is a highly foolish move to destroy a piece of advanced equipment that has required extraordinary costs to create. Whoever made this attack--supposing indeed that was the satellite's purpose--receives our condemnation.

Announcement from the Empire

Earlier today, a half-squadron of F-24 Torrent fighters, two of which were armed with ASAT missiles, took off from Long Island with the intent to shoot down the Tagruato satellite. The Empire had strong reason to believe that this was not a communications satellite, as the Ottoman government claimed, but rather a spy satellite.

Communications satellites, by their very nature, enter into a geosynchronous orbit over a certain area to provide television and/or radio signals for their coverage area. The Tagruato satellite did not exhibit these characteristics. Case in point, the satellite was in a low earth orbit moving towards the Empire's Canadian Protectorate when it was intercepted and destroyed. Communications satellites would not be in low earth orbit, nor would a communications satellite serving the Ottomans be moving over Imperial territory.

Based on this information, along with the recent Ottoman obsession with the former city of St. John's, we concluded that the satellite was not a communications satellite, but rather a spy satellite. The Ottomans should feel fortunate that we merely shot down the satellite. Sending a spy satellite, or any unauthorized satellite, over our territory is tantamount to a declaration of war. Consider this satellite being shot down your only warning.

Great Britain is shocked and appalled at this attack.
However, a communications satellite sits in a geostationary orbit and does not move, otherwise it becomes useless.
The satellite in question was monitered over Britain, Canada and Central North America. Obviously not a communications satellite, moreover, it was in a low Earth orbit which would suggest a spy Satellite.

Would Tagruato care to comment on this information which can and will be backed up with hard evidence?

"You could have notified Pravus Ingruo that you were taking some photos of the site of St. John's. That might had prevented your two billion dollars property from being turned into space junk. If you did notify Pravus Ingruo and they let you move your satellite over St. John's location, then they owe you two billion dollars."

Imperial Announcement

The reason we shot it down is because that is what we do with any suspicious/unauthorized satellites passing over our territory. Since we are protecting the region that encompasses the former nation of Labrador, our policy regarding suspicious/unauthorized satellites extends to them as well. Your satellite was shot down as a matter of policy, not as a part of some grand cover-up.

However, with your admission that you knowingly and intentionally sent a spy satellite over our territory, along with England, a supposed ally of yours, the Empire calls for international sanctions on the Ottomans. Further review of this incident will be conducted before we take any further action.

We know that we have not been good allies as of late as we are dealing with our internal crisis, but we are in need of assistance. If we were to declare was on the Ottomans for this gross breach of our sovereignty, would we be able to request support from your nation? Please respond post-haste.
The messages would be delivered by hand to the UFE and Irish embassies within the Empire.

The Republique du Fleueve needs to understand one vital fact. The Ottomans were SPYING. Spying is bad. Had the satellite been detected by Xinyan forces attempting to capture information about our nation, the consequences would be far worse than what Pravus Ingruo has given. This was a criminal act and the Ottomans cannot go unpunished.

We must protest this answer. It is not acceptable. You test fire a nuclear device and then sent spy satellites over England. You now admit your excuse was to find the locations of cities, towns and industries.

We would of provided you with maps, there are plenty in Fort Africa.

We demand an apology and all images that were taken of Great Britain be handed into Fort Africa.
Failure to comply will result in sanctions.

What they did is no different than if someone invaded your nation. The Empire did nothing to provoke this violation of sovereignty from the Ottomans. They are the aggressors, and if you do not see that, you are blind."

Such images will be delivered. We offer a full apology and should have notified you. But with the satellite already in space we though it would be easier to just take our own.

Pravus Ingruo is entirely correct in its actions and statements. North America is not the concern of the Ottomans, and that a nation that claims to be one of peace, a nation that claims it wants to bring peace and prosperity to Africa would do this is highly unsettling.

Pravus Ingruo and Britain have our support in this matter.

Soon after the terrorist attack in St. John's, our current national crisis began. Given the data that we had (a large amount of VX nerve gas had been introduced into the water supply throughout the city, which was then over-heated/over-pressurized to release the nerve agent in a gas form. This would have affected 99.6% of all water lines in the city, according to our estimates, resulting in, at minimum, 99.998% casualties), and our own crisis to deal with and prevent from spreading, we did not have the resources to mount the massive S&R operation that it would have taken to properly search the entire city. We pulled the few surviving troops we had out of the city and then hit the city with a nuclear missile to eliminate any lingering terrorist threat. There is really nothing left of the city to photograph.

Also, all borders of the Empire have been closed for the duration of the current crisis. No one is allowed in or out.

The public did know what happened in St. John's. There was no cover-up. Media reports from remote cameras and internet feeds were available during the event and afterwards. The information is there. If people choose to ignore it, that is their own fault.
