Classified message to the Military Intel Agencies of the DPRM
To whom it may concern,

I would like to arrange a meeting between the Director General of MI6 and his counterpart in your own organisation to discuss matters of a mutual interest in regards to our Alliance and security networks.

The Director General is currently on Deer Island with the British Garrison giving security lectures to the area Commander in regards to transatlantic security.

Signed
Secretary General of MI6
Peter Hogan
We would find this to be in both of our interests. We can host the meeting in our new headquarters at Mount Katahdin.

Signed,
M
Head of Operations, SIS
The Director General made his way to Mount Katahdin, his unmarked black Mercedes cruiseing through Belfast before heading up towards the SIS headquarters. His car carried three other suits, a driver and two Agents who were to protect the Director if he came under attack. Not that attack was likely given the DPRM being one of Englands closest allys. On arrival to the facility, the Director would simply flash his ID at the guards informing them he was from British intel before moving into the facmility.

Ten minutes later.

The Director General walked into the conference room and walked over to M, shaking her by the hand as he introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you M, Im the Director General of MI6, Sean Connery. Please, may I sit?"

"A vodka martini please, shaken not stirred." replied Sean before ajusting himself slightly in his seat before continuing.

"The DPRM and Great Britain have maintained an excellent friendship on a diplomatic and personal level, what with our Alliance and military garrisons and British Inteligience believes it is time to make our friendship even more solid.

Great Britain has been secured from Irish threat with the Edinbourgh accords and diplomacy is once more resuming between our nations, however, as you will be most aware, the threat of Islamic extremism growing in the African continent is growing with each day. We fear that soon their hate filled words will turn into actions with the formation of the Caliphate. A military bloc formed from Nations with a majority Muslim population. One of the organisations main backers is shiedling the terrorist group 'Yaza Hajin'.

Western Nations such as Great Britain and the DPRM would obviously be seen as, as they said it 'Infidels'.
To help combat the threat of terrorist plots on our Nation, I believe we should intergrate our military intel and domestic intel services. This would include actions such as an intergrated satellite network for greater coverage. Moreover it would allow a more efficient, streamlined counter terrorism operation not to mention the obvious other benefits to National Security."

Taking sip of his drink to wet his tongue Sean carried on.
"The threat of being hacked and having vital security information stolen from both our security services is also minimised as the new system would come with over a dozen levels of security before even the least important, classfied files would be accessed. More important files containing such black operations et certera would indeed be held in their own individual layers of security. Embedded in this new network would be a deep woven communications channel for myself, and you to talk when the need for utmost secrecy is apon us both"

"As it happens, Jihadists seem to keep jumping to the top of our to do list. We are in early stages of developing a task force to keep tabs on Africa as we speak. I can say with full confidence that it would only make sense, due to your matching concerns, that we develop it to be a joint task force."

"We are also in the process of further improving our Big Brother surveilance network. Three test satellites are planned to be removed from orbit, to be replaced by 5 more modern satellites with each encompasing the roles of all three of their predecessors to give dedicated surveilance in Africa."

"We will make arrangments for a new integrated intelligence network on our side of things to give you access to our satellites when you require them."

"With this new task squad there could arise a time where precautionary measures on a small or large scale might need to be taken in Africa to disrupt anyone we find to be 'troublesome' so to speak. I appologise if these seems a foolish question but it is one that will need to be answered sooner or later, would that be something you would have a problem with?"

"Ah I also believe a joint task force would be an excellent idea, and no, I would have no problem with commiting special agents to remove and disrupt "troublesome" people within the African continent. Of course, such actions would need to be sanctioned by both myself and you M.

Britains SKYNET satellite missile defence and observation network is presently offline due to the destruction of the home hub on St Marys island and it will take dozens of space walks to fix and the issues and bring them back under MOD control.

I will make arrangements for security staff to begin working with your own technitions to start on our joint security network."

Taking another drink, Sean carried on.
"Now what sort of ideas do you have for this joint task force, what scale are you thinking of?"

Posted

"Excellent, I am glad to hear that. It will make going forward a lot easier in the future I am sure."

"Well so far our estimations put the task force to be between 50 to 100 people in each of our nations (OOC: I have no idea about numbers really), with an undetermined amount of assets in Africa itself. We propose to start embassies in each nation in Africa for the sole purpose of allowing our agents to pose as diplomats and assistants. This approach we feel cuts out the need to worry about tricky insertions into difficult situations."

"Britain has an embassy aswell as several military installations and a naval base. These are of course to facilitate British forces as they train the Ivorian Army.

As the British Corps withdraws and hands over the bases to Ivorian military formations out presence will be felt less and less. However. I will be meeting King Ottoman sometime next month to discuss the continued leasing of the naval station.

With it being an active base offering a midpoint for Royal Navy vessels on patrol in the area, it would be no hard task to bring in MI6 agents and personal from our counterparts in Maine."

Posted

"Yes, that would make things easier as well. We will intend to have constant information gathering from our embassies which will involve minimal travel to and from the nations but from larger movements a naval base would be most useful.

Well I guess we should consider the Joint Task Force initiated. I'll have a look through our files and assign our best men to it.

Our efforts in the area will come under Operation Perrepat."

Posted

"Excellent, I will have Operation Perrepat added to MI6 operations. I will begin establishing embassies across Africa. With any luck, it will not only increase their opinion of Britain, but we can get some Agents in aswell."

Posted

"Well, we have an Embassy in the Ivory Coast that we can house our agents aswell as your own. Not to mention Fort Africa, our naval facility near the Ottoman Republics Capital. Of course your American agents would have to wear British uniforms et cetera whilst on the base. Shouldnt be to much of a problem in the Embassy. Unless you had other suggestions?"

Posted

"I see no problems with our agents wearing British uniforms. Perhaps Fort Africa might be the best place to host it. I'm assuming setting up a situation room in the base will not be a problem? Preferably in a basement."

Posted

"Of course not, alot of the facilities are sunk into the ground anyway due to the intense heat of the region. You will have to bear with us whilst we finalise our arrangements our the Ivorian Government in regards to our facilities in the area."

Posted

"Excellent, we shall begin preparations immediately. We will have an office in Belfast dedicated to providing support to the foreign office, might I suggest having one in Manchester also?

I think it's safe to say we can declare Operation Perrepat underway."

With that M rose and held out her hand to solidify the deal with a hand shake.

Posted

"An office in Manchester will be opened indeed Ma'am. I bid you farewell and look forward to working more with you M"
Sean stood and shook his counterparts hands before returning to Deer Island to make arrangements for Operation Perrepat.
