When a Kingdom Falls; A Union Arises

The United Kingdom of Idaho-Montana has fallen due to internal strife, governmental officials namely the King have been taken by the citizenry and summarily hanged by the people for crimes against the State. The glorious UKIM is no more. Sir Franklyn C. Chadwick and the Military leadership have taken to their planes and fled to Amarna with the governmental records and plans of the former Kingdom. In other news, The Equatorial Union of Africa has risen in the former lands of Cameroon, and Gabon, Equatorial Guinea.

The former leadership of the UKIM was processed at the border and approved for their residency/temporary visas to be in Amarna. They would be escorted to Des Moines by military personnel to prevent any rioting citizens to attack.

Satellite feeds, as well as reports by RN personnel, reached the higher echelons of the Union government that had confirmed that the blockade had been a success. The United Kingdom of Idaho-Montana had generally collapsed...and the Union of Revolutionary Socialist Republics was not about to stand by idly and abandon the people there.

Amassing up at the border, Red Army troopers prepared to carry out orders issued by the Military Command Administration to take the lands over and restore order. Supported by squadrons of C-130s, the Red Army duly carried out the task; tens of thousands of troopers crossed the border into the now-former UKIM. Washington State, northern Idaho, and Montana were among the first to be occupied, followed by Oregon, Wyoming, and southern Idaho.

When reports by Army commanders reached Revolutio that Red Army troopers had reached the southern border, Premier Helo Silveira knew the task was complete.
