King Louis the II
Whatever is the result, this war will result in a different global order. Furthermore, strategies use such as doom house attacking NPO and Sparta Aztec should change how we perceive war dynamics. So I think the right name is THE GAMECHANGER WAR
zzzptm
"Doomhouse is Germany" has come up quite a few times this war, from unimaginative players on the other side.
Well, I got GOOD NEWS for you, buddy! *I* am an *imaginative* player. If you compare this war with the opening moves of WW1, the comparison is obvious. If you compare it to WW2, we got nothing. In WW1, Austria and Serbia had really bad blood going back for centuries. When a Serb shot Archduke Ferdinand, AH held all of Serbia responsible and moved to attack Serbia. Russia refused to idly watch AH pick up Serbia and declared its intentions to make war on AH. Germany and France were uninvolved at the time, but the Germans were planning to support AH. The Germans also knew that supporting AH vs. Russia would bring in France, so they decided to give France a surprise and invaded it... hence my historically valid comparison between the Germany of WW1 and Doomhouse. And, hence, my conclusion that this should be Great War IV. Moreover, if we bring back the Great War system, maybe we'll have more of them. If we could do this sort of thing on a quarterly basis, that would be fantastic.

Arukawa Keiko
I think Great War IV is pretty valid; I avoided mentioning it because I just trying to think up new ones. The "Powder Keg War" was a direct reference to the Balkan Powder Keg, which was so lovingly illustrated by zzzptm. The treaty web was practically screaming "World War I" to me even before this got all started. Which makes this... Viridia
I am a fan of the "Everything Must Die" War. Easy to remember, can be referenced as Everything Must Die or simply EMD. Also, it cannot be called Great War IV, Great War V, or Great War VI, because we already have those wars. Stop reusing that old handle and be creative.

BamaBuc
Great War IV doesn't make sense to me. If we count Great Wars as all world wars, we've already had 4, 5, and 6 (or 7 if you count WotC). If we count Great Wars as wars that completely shift the balance of power, then this really isn't one. If we count Great Wars as wars between specific combatants, then this still isn't one. -Bama
