Triyun Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Exercise Tranquil Lake was to be a major exercise in developing close coordination with allied forces in the Pacific for establishing interoperability between the armed forces of the major sea powers of the Pacific along with expeditionary forces of other allies that had forward deployments in the Pacific. Tranquil Lake would be situated in the East China Sea, specifically around the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan as well as Guam and the rest of the Mariana Islands. The exercise would be to launch a large scale simulated coordinated naval assault on several heavily fortified coastal positions at once. For this exercise the UFE would be deploying its 1st Fleet, Wolfpack Y, and an amphibious expeditionary group including a transport dock and a amphibious assault ship. Also expected to join would be the Greater Pacifican Navy which had granted use of the rest of the Mariana Islands for the exercise. OOC: Any allies with Pacific fleets feel free to join in Quote
Kankou Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Greater Korea will be sending its Dokdo amphibious assault ship, with 700 Marines, 6 K2 tanks, and 7 amphibious assault vehicles. Also, we shall provide access to our Cheollian surveillance satellite system, and arm ballastic missiles. Quote

iKrolm Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Selenarctos will contribute the 5th Task Force, composed of DD-111, -112, and -113; the SS Polo, the SS Ekek and the SS Sarimanok. The three [url="http://cnrp.wikia.com/wiki/Selenarctos_Naval_Force#Polo-class_Destroyer"]Polo-Class Destroyers[/url] have been temporarily relocated from the First Carrier Group for the duration of the exercise. Additionally, four Predator-C UAVs based out of Preh will be available for reconnaissance and light fire support. Quote

Michael McBride Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 The Imperial First Fleet will be glad to participate in the hunt for the rogue wolf pack. The [i]ENS Omaha[/i] and [i]ENS Utah[/i], both landing craft with a full compliment of helos, including ASW helos, will be most valuable to this operation, though the 1st Fleet also carries six submarines of their own. The 5th Fleet, which comprises of another six submarines, can be deployed to aid in the search, although they would take some time to arrive. Quote
