Background of Story
In the days of the former Prussian Empire, the Kaiser was interested in experiments which could help Prussia gain the upper hand in military warfare. He ordered the construction of many secret military bunkers deep inside Prussia in the snow covered forests, out of sight from the Prussian people and the world to conduct these experiments. After what is now referred to as the Prussian Civil War many of these experiments were abandoned, forgotten about. But only a few remember these experiments and their uses. They know that some of these experiments were not properly abandoned, and would be a hazard to the world if in the wrong hands.

One of these military bases called "Base 115" had a dark secret hidden within its collapsing walls. The base was used to experiment on human beings. The High Command of Prussia and todays Alaskan High Command knew that a large Project was being conducted at Base 115. The Project was called "Die Toten" and it involved reviving dead Prussian Soldiers back to their normal state before death. Over 50 dead Prussian Soldiers were experimented on. Reports which were sent to the Prussian High Command showed there were 10 failures in the experiment at first, the next 5 had showed signs of revival for a small amount of time. Another 5 had been revived completely but were very violent and did not seem human and so were killed. Which took a considerable amount of time with bullets.

Under Pressure from the Prussian High Command scientists had developed a serum which came from the blood of the 5 humans experimented on before. They injected it into the the remaining 30 dead humans. That is when the transmissions from Base 115 stopped. Then 10 days laters a transmission was received from a soldier stationed at the base, his name was Joe McDermott, this is what the transmission contained:

.....(static).....High Command......(static) this is Base 115 transmi...(static)....repeat this is base.......(static).....Project......(static)...."Toten"... has become out of control.....we have contained them..(static)... base........(static).......10 of us our left...(static)....Dr.Maxis has escaped alive..(static)....he has the infor....(static)......on....."oten"......deemed necessary..........and...(static)....BANG...BANG.....HELP!!!......

Dr. Maxis who was the scientist placed in charge of "Die Toten" had survived from this disaster but his location is still yet unknown. He holds important information to do with "Die Toten" and must be found. But with the death of the Kaiser and the collapse of the Prussian Empire, a search party was never sent, nor nothing done about Base 115. But now with the Alaskan Government established and the Alaskan Military firmly established, the Alaskan High Command is planning a search party to Base 115 to find Dr. Maxis and find out and possibly stop what happened at Base 115.

Helicopter Travelling to Base 115

The elite commando group "Hastatus" was dispatched to find Dr. Maxis and find out what occurred at Base 115. They were dispatched to the base and transported by Helicopter.

It was a dark and stormy night........
"PILOT!" shouted Commander Johnson "How long till we reach Base 115?". The pilot replied "About 10 minutes sir" The commando team had been travelling for about an hour. There was a total of 10 in the group, lead by Commander Johnson.

"So what do you think happened at Base 115?" asked Lieutenant Fritz to Commander Johnson. "Don't know lieutenant, we are not supposed to know just follow orders" The Helicopter began to sway up and down violently. The pilot was struggling to control the helicopter. In front of him the control board was lit up with flashing lights. The pilot noticed the fuel tank was empty. The pilot shouted back to Commander Johnson "COMMANDER! We are going down, jump out now! We are only 3 minutes away from our destination."

Commander Johnson ordered his troops to put on their parachutes and jump out at will. One by one the 10 men began to bail out of the helicopter. Commander Johnson turned to the pilot and said "Aren't you coming?" the pilot replied "I am going to try to land it in a clearing which shows up on the map of this area. I have extra fuel in the storage area, I might be able to get her back up in the air if I can refuel in that area." The commander replied "Good luck" The pilot nodded at the commander and turned back to controlling the helicopter. The Commander bailed out, and as he pulled his parachute he looked up at the helicopter with black smoke trailing from her engines. It disappeared into the night sky as its drone slowly died.

Commander Johnson now focused on not hitting the snow covered trees on the ground. Its the last thing he wanted, being stuck in a tree. Especially outside Base 115.

Commander Johnson hit the ground with a large thump. His parachute gently fell over him, consuming him with its interior. He struggled as he attempted to break free of the parachute. After a few minutes of struggling he found his way out. He stood up and looked around him as he reached for his knife and cut the parachute free from his body.

He wondered where the rest of the unit was. He reached for his radio and pressed his finger on the button and spoke "This Johnson....can anyone here me? Anyone receiving me?" after a few seconds a voice answered "This is Davis reporting". The voices of the other men flooded after. Everyone was accounted for.

Johnson spoke into his radio "Everyone, gather at the front entrance of the Base. I will give you your orders once we meet there. Radio silence till we meet" Johnson began moving towards the Base. Just as the others did.

Everyone met up at the entrance. The Gate into the Base was closed, barbed wire lined the walls above with bits of broken glass pointing up. Obviously they did not want anyone getting in..........or out. The Guard towers at the different positions of the Base were un-occupied. The guns were facing into the Base, not out. The tallest structure inside the Base which could be seen looked terrible. The windows were smashed, tiles falling of the roof, and parts of the walls covered in blood.

Johnson spoke to his men "This is our target. Inside a few survivors and possibly Dr.Maxis are in 115. Our mission is to retrieve them and report what we find inside 115. You got me men?" The group replied "Sir, yes sir".

Davis approached the wall. He shot the barbed wire in a small section. The glass fell with the wire towards the ground. Everyone stood back to avoid it. Davis then threw up a rope, which fell onto the wall and stuck. He grabbed the rope and began to climb. Half way up he stopped. Johnson shouted to him "Whats wrong?" Davis replied "I heard something, it sounded like it came from the main complex". Johnson replied "Keep moving, and secure the wall". Davis began to move again, but with a look of fear on his face.

He reached the top of the wall and jumped off. The grounds were covered in thick fog, he could not see a thing. The sound he heard emerged again. He turned on his light on his weapon and began to approach deeper into the mist. Then a hand emerged on his back. He jumped and turned around. It was Lieutenant Fritz, and he put his finger on his lips and said "I hear it to, just keep moving". Behind Fritz the rest of the unit began to gather.

With the use of Military hand signals the group began to approach deeper into the Base. It was hard to see, as dense fog consumed the Base and the surrounding landscape. Only with the aid of flashlights were the group able to navigate their way through this Base of the damned.

The occasional sound of moaning emerged from the complex. It was a terrible, loud and creeping moan never heard before. It sent a tingle down the backs of some of the men, and made their hair stand up. Davis was really frightened since he was the first to hear the moan. All his actions were slow and gentle, as if he knew something was their following them.

Fritz was walking along with not a care in the world, although he still was cautious since he heard the moan too. As he walked along he tripped and went head first against the complex wall. It was nothing serious but he was cursing and shouting "F$@k sake! I hate this F$#king place. I swear to god if....." Fritz went silent as he gazed in horror at a dead decaying body lying on the ground.

The body was still recognizable, the flesh was covered in blood and scratches. Chunks of the body's arm, chest, legs and head were missing. Another unit member found a trail of bullet casings leading up to the body, which began at the complex. Once Fritz got a hold of himself he turned the body over. Underneath it was were the casings came from, a gun which was empty. Johnson came over and looked at the uniform of the dead body. A name on the upper left side of his uniform spelled " Joe McDermott ".

OOC: Joe McDermott was the name of the soldier that contacted the Prussian High Command. Forgot to add that into the Background of the story.

Standing in the eerie compounds of the base, they knew that it had gotten out of hand. The magnificent glow of the moon that glittered of the mud puddles seemed to give the night a false image of peace and tranquility.

Johnson stood up after viewing the uniform with a pale look on his face. It seemed if he had seen a ghost and his legs turned to jelly. He quickly shook off this expression and said "We should continue on, we still have yet to complete our mission" With these few words everyone began to move towards the complex entrance.

The doors of the complex were blood stained and damaged, as was the rest of the building. Johnson placed his hand on the broken handle and slowly opened the door. Inside, the building was completely submerged in darkness. It had seemed if the moon's light would not dare enter inside, as if something evil was lurking in it's wall's.

Johnson could, but barley, make out a switch on the wall. He reached out his hand and pulled on it, hoping it would be the bringer of light. The room lit up immediately and Johnson let out a sigh of relief as no one was there waiting for them in the darkness, as he had feared. As all this time he had felt if something was watching him, waiting for him to make the wrong move.

He shouted to his men "Move in!"
