No thats just brilliant.

Politics on planet bob are ridiculously simple, so long as you know who to felate or who to start a circlejerk with, it takes no skill at all.

Kev's alliance merges into UPN yesterday and he already gets a Triumvir position? Not that you guys couldn't use it, just seems kind of odd to me.

Best of luck with the new government type. UPN needs everything It can get so that it steps back onto it's feet, and hopefully this is a good start.

More interesting that Kev said that UoU was to merge with UPN without Approval of the Government, he was not President of the University of Unity, this resulted in a bulk of UoU members leaving in disgust. Approx a quarter of the Alliances Strength, Kev thinking he was above the Alliance and what he willed would happen, the disgusted leader of UoU who was democratically elected who was betrayed simply went back to TNG having enough of Kev.

Like he has in the past?

Perhaps if you would or COULD stop brown-nosing him maybe you'd see how much of a irresponsible and manipulative leader he is.

He only cares about one thing. Getting his way.

Oh gee, I am sorry that he hasn't met your 'standards'.

He acknowledged mistakes were made. Nor is this alliance run by one man. As I may of said before, lets not dwell on the past and look to the future. Judge us on what WE do as a collective - Not that your opinion is of much concern to us. Thanks for your input nevertheless.

Thought we were speaking about governments not politics. And there other ways to get things done.

I misjudged you, my bad.

If you can manage to get free from the innards of Altheus's backside and you decide to talk realistically, you know where to find me.

Let's see if your mind can somewhat fathom the future.

What happens when Altheus doesn't like the direction you are taking with HIS alliance?

Let me take a step back.

What happens to this facade called a "triumvirate" when it doesn't suit his needs to mandate his will through the use of half or less minded puppets?

Let me give you a tip: never grow a brain.

Also, when your usefulness for UPN's PR is over, don't let the door hit you on the backside on the way out.

The same thing goes to Kev as well.

Apologising to those who UPN has let down in the past, several of our past allies and friends. The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance.

Dude, what crime did you commit to get this punishment? i mean you have to serve alongside Sir Merge-a-lots and the guy who likes to play Real Politkâ„¢

you have my deepest sympathy

UPN will be henceforth be led by a Trium, who will represent the alliance on the international stage, be guardians of the civil liberties we hold dear and bring forth initiatives to strengthen and empower the alliance in its aims.

The Trium will each focus and specialise on one aspect of alliance life to bring this about. Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs & Military Affairs.

They will appoint the best and brightest to the role of Minister, who will form a 5-member Senate, the executive body of the UPN government. They will organise 5 departments within the UPN. Defense, Diplomacy, Interior, Finances & the Academy.

No position is elected. Democracy hasn't served UPN well in the past, since elected government has sadly proven over the years to be just as vulnerable to self-interest. UPN's aims, before, now and forevermore is to serve the interests of its members. We have no kings, only leaders.
Thank !@#$@#$ God, Alt; finally have a chance of turning UPN around. I love how people seem to think you were a dictator when I can recall very much the opposite from you prior to UPN leaving Poseidon. Regardless, UPN would be better off being led by you as a dictator than some of the figures in your past. I prefer a 3-to-0 or a 1-to-5 government structure, but a 3-to-5 should work considering the size and democratic roots of the alliance. Best of luck to you.
As for UPN being a democracy in the past, elected officials governed by a dictator is not a democracy - which explains at least one of your splinters.

Come Kae, I know you're smart enough to realize that there is such a things as levels of democratic systems.

You really need to get over this obsession about me. I'm married.

You shouldn't have said that; you know what your detractors are going to say next. :P

Then you should also know I'm smart enough to understand a charter - and when the charter and professed 'democracy' are only idealistic fluff and not representative of the reality.

Finally another mass member alliance realizes democracy doesn't work when 75% of your membership neither cares nor participates.

EDIT: Well scratch that, it doesn't work either if you start promoting people like Kevanovia. Wasn't the whole point to not repeat the failures of the past?

And thus they've needed their charter to make this change to reflect the reality for quite some time. Not that this system will magically fix all their problems, but democracy clearly hasn't been working for them.

Whoops! Shades was the one who gave the go-ahead with the merge in the first place. As president he gave the order to go through with the merge, and I made it happen. I communicated with all of the UoU members who were online, at all times.
A bulk of the members left? 4 members left and they originally approved of the merge, then backed out a day before the merge occurred (Including the President).

Start back-peddling Bringer.

EDIT: Typos and such.

Two FA positions to one econ position. This looks well planned.

Care to elaborate perhaps...? I fail to understand your point.
