Altheus
Running an alliance is intense, there is always a countless number of things you want to do and only a certain time to do them. So, we're evolving. As per Article 3 of the UPN Charter: Amendments we hereby evoke the following changes: UPN will be henceforth be led by a Trium, who will represent the alliance on the international stage, be guardians of the civil liberties we hold dear and bring forth initiatives to strengthen and empower the alliance in its aims. The Trium will each focus and specialise on one aspect of alliance life to bring this about. Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs & Military Affairs. They will appoint the best and brightest to the role of Minister, who will form a 5-member Senate, the executive body of the UPN government. They will organise 5 departments within the UPN. Defense, Diplomacy, Interior, Finances & the Academy. No position is elected. Democracy hasn't served UPN well in the past, since elected government has sadly proven over the years to be just as vulnerable to self-interest. UPN's aims, before, now and forevermore is to serve the interests of its members. We have no kings, only leaders. Full Treaty Text can be found here: http://cnupn.net/forums/index.php?topic=9788.0 We've made mistakes in the past. Plenty of mistakes and I'm sure in the future we'll make more. However adapting with the times and having the courage to step out into the light of the new day isn't one of them. Ever evolving, ever changing, the purple flame burns with an ever growing intensity. Petrovich4
A combination of merits and democracy is best. Your trium's will be tested during war since your Military Trium will be the 'first' of firsts.

Robster83
We’ve made several mistakes, as Altheus admitted, but UPN has outlasted many of our contemporaries. UPN can sometimes be its own worst enemies. We are aware that our record for splinter groups & government fallouts is poor. However we have looked in depth what causes these crises ( mind you a lot of it has disposed of itself, and that is good riddance ) and we have came up with several solutions to prevent them so that UPN can be happier and healthier in the future. It will be a challenge to reform our image, a burden which will be shared by the alliance as a whole. As an alliance, we have to walk the hard road together. Anyway what we do is more important than what we say, so let our actions speak louder than our words... o/ Here is to a better future. MrMuz
I'm not a fan of democracy. There are few truly democratic alliances working well. I don't like triumvirates either, but a triumvirate is just one step towards a government headed by one leader. Good luck.
DonVox
What would you consider to be the first and second ages of UPN?
greenacres
Triumvirates are overrated. Good luck, I hope you will continue to be Planet Bob's punching bag though, we all need the laughs.

Biff Webster
Triumvirates: Two against one all day long. You seem very apologetic about how you've done business. Are you apologizing to the planet or to your membership? I hope you don't try too hard to please people you have no responsibility to please. Haflinger
Triumvirates can work, like other forms of alliance government, as long as the people selected are good. I think those three are terrific choices actually.

The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance.
Bob Ilyani
Kev's alliance merges into UPN yesterday and he already gets a Triumvir position? Not that you guys couldn't use it, just seems kind of odd to me. Best of luck with the new government type. UPN needs everything It can get so that it steps back onto it's feet, and hopefully this is a good start.

Yevgeni Luchenkov
I'm always skeptical when it comes to UPN but it seems your restructuring is going in the right direction. First, a decent merger. Now a revamping of your alliance's leadership. Good luck with this,
Bradford
Congratulations and great success! (I always feel silly wishing "good luck" in a situation in which "luck" so clearly plays a minor role compared to skill, will, and commitment.)
