The United States of The Island is a very unique nation with a even more special culture. Because the island only allows immigrants from Ireland, the culture does not have much if any diversity in it. Morals are strong, religion is firmly practiced, and mostly everyone has the same heritage. Here are some taboos:

[b]Taboo[/b]

-Tattoos
-Changing one's natural hair color
-Being Atheist
-Prostitution
-Changing Gender
-Giving up a child for adoption above the age of 4
-Being excessively overweight
-Getting a divorce without an annulment
-Getting married only with the government and not the church
-A Catholic/Protestant marrying a Protestant/Catholic without converting

[b]Laws[/b]

Now here are some controversial laws because of the cultures strict beliefs and/or taboos against certain things:

[b]Abortion-[color="#FF0000"]Totally Illegal.Any doctor that gives an abortion can face, at a minimum, 30 years in prison. The mother would get a $50,000 fine.[/b][/color]
[b]Rape of a Minor (below 13) by an adult-[color="#FF0000"]Punishable By Death[/color][/b]
[b]Rape of a Minor (above 13) by an adult-[color="#FF0000"]Five to ten years in prison[/color][/b]
[b]Petty Theft-[color="#FF0000"]A fine that is double of what you stole and 1-5 months of community service. Also public humiliation is optional[/color][/b]

Capital Punishment:

[b]Firing squad-[color="#FF0000"]Usually for those who murdered[/color]
Electric Chair-[color="#FF0000"]For the rape charge[/color]
Lethal Injection-[color="#FF0000"]Other crimes[/color][/b]

[b]Major Religions[/b]

The Major Religion of the Island is Catholicism. The largest minority is Protestant.
