I don't think it will lead to a major war, but if it did I would expect PC to jump in. PC just seems like the type of alliance that doesn't let allies hang out to get stomped. If PC moves it goes global.

Do you not think their friends & allies are showing utter disregard towards NEWs well documented customs and practices by pressuring them into admitting this was wrong and trying to get them to pay reps?

Because NEW refuses to recognize the DF thread? No. NEW's allies see this for the screw up it is and are/were trying to settle this diplomatically. NEW refuses to even recognize the concerns of their allies.

No, and none. Should it result in a war? Maybe. But will it? People will step back at some point and realize this is way to stupid to be fighting a global war over. Better CBs will certainly come and if this does turn into a war it won't go global.

War is inevitable. There really isn't much to keep us entertained when we haven't had a war in a while. Foreign policy gets boring once it's all set up. You need war to test it all out. If this doesn't spark a war of some kind, war will occur with a few weeks.
