jeff744 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Rusul Salil Binyamin stood on the bridge of a cargo ship, beside him stood several other men, all were wearing their white lab coats and black glasses staring at another ship just within viewing range. The men stared anxiously as a countdown began on the ship speakers "10...9...8...7...6...5" Rusul looked at the remote in his hands, he had been waiting for this for a long time, he had specially installed a red button just for this moment "4...3...2...1...0" Rusul pressed the button....nothing. Rusul pressed again....nothing, again...nothing, he began to furiously press the button before throwing it at a wall, smashing it into pieces. As Rusul began to march away while grumbling the walls went white, Rusul turned as the light faded and watched the mushroom cloud in the distance. The men on the bridge cheered and popped champagne, one called out "How did you like that Abbid, enough to make you abandon your silly Christianity and join us?", a long time joke in the group, as no-one answered the men looked around, Abbid was not one to turn down a chance to make a wisecrack at them. "Abbid?" one man who had been walking by in the corridor looked in "Wasn't Abbid with you when we picked you up from the other ship?" Rusul looked over at his new remote, this one was large enough they had to wheel it in on a cart and had 20 different buttons, all performed the same function. Rusul was again with several other scientists, they had double checked that everyone was in attendance and that all dangerous areas were clear. The countdown began "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0" Rusul closed his eyes and pressed a button, as he felt a rumbling he opened one eye and saw the smoke cloud rising from the middle of the ship, he watched in excitement as the missile left the ship and shot out of sight. The men turned to a radar and watched as it moved closer and closer to the Antarctic base, another blip came from the base and met the missile, blowing it up. The men cheered and pulled out the champagne, as they popped them one man entered and called one of the scientists, the man turned as the champagne the champagne cork popped out and embedded itself in the mans eye, killing him.
