iamthey Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 (edited) Today Greater Pacifica has lost contact and confirmed the collapse of its long standing ally, the Queendom of Australia. In response to the humanitarian crisis this poses, as well as the mandate Pacifica has undertaken to look after the collective welfare of the pacifican people, we are now announcing an intent to annex and incorporate the former Queendom's east pacific holdings (French Polynesia/Nauru/the Marshalls. Fleets already in the region due to our right of passage agreements with Australia have been activated to lock down the waters. Their Marine divisions have been deployed as a provisional force to maintain order, and guide early humanitarian efforts. *Private* Expeditionary forces have been deployed to investigate the state of affairs within the Australian East Pacific. OOC: The public portion of this post can be considered on hold, awaiting confirmation of the purge. Edited December 11, 2010 by iamthey Quote
Zoot Zoot Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 Classified to Greater Pacifica Englands second merchant marine fleet is currently stuck in Limbo between New Zealand and Antarctica now that your lanes have been closed. The fleets GPS is currently malfunctioning and they are unsure if they are in an international lane, or in GP waters. Secondly, If they fleet is in your waters, we request permission to make port and fix the malfunctioning systems before taking a heading towards Procinta to assist in the growing situation brewing in the North Pacific. The Fleet is comprised of unarmed shipping, but it carrying a total of 5000 soldiers and assorted vehicles and supplies. Quote

iamthey Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) *classified* Upon confirmation of the Queendom's collapse public announcement of Pacifica's intent in the Eastern Pacific went out through the various media organizations. In the East pacific itself former Queendom coastguard and police were requestioned to lock down waters as well as maintain the rule of law. The 2nd corp of the Vanguard Army was deployed immediately upon confirmation of the collapse, and based on the program developed under the many past regional collapses seen in Oceania, proceeded to assert control over all critical social points and infrastructure. Experienced, transitional administrators were deployed by the Ministry of Interior to form a provisional authority until the territories could be transitioned into the Pacifican Economy and political order. Previously integrated SOSUS and naval defenses were immediately utilized to seamlessly maintain maritime control. Zoot Zoot Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 A classified message to Greater Pacifica Englands Duke of Lancasters Regiment 2nd Batallion is currently aboard the second mcherchant marine fleet. Would you like assistance in re establishing law and order once the GPS is replaced? The Regiment has civil protection equipment onboard, aswell as peacekeeping equipment. It would also be a valuble training exercise for the Regiment for a peacekeeping tour. Quote
iamthey Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 *Classified to England* We thank england for its desire and willingness to offer assistance in this matter. However, we have already taken preparations to handle this expansion. Both the army and navy have recently undergone sizeable expansions; among which are the addition of 190,000 new soldiers, the manufacturing of 1900 new battle tanks, and the rolling out of two new major naval vessels. So as far as handling the Eastern Pacific Project goes, I believe we are more than capable of addressing it. That being said, we wish you luck and safe passage to your next destination. Quote
