King Timmy Posted December 10, 2010 Author Report Posted December 10, 2010 (edited) The polling stations are closed, and the votes have been counted. This time around we had an astounding 92% turnout as people exercised their right to vote. I am pleased to tell you that the winner of the first ever general election in the DPRM is, with an astounding 39% of votes is...
The Socialist Party! And congratulations to them indeed. The Liberal Democrat Party came in second with 27% of the votes, the Conservative Party came third with 25% and the Labour Party fourth with just 9% of the votes. Simon Pegg had this to say. "It's just fantastic to see that the people of our nation want a system that is fair for everyone. We have dreamed about this for some time, and never imagined it could come true. I want to say thank you to the people who voted for us, you are the people that will make a difference. They know that we are all equal in this life, it doesn't matter if you're a doctor, a janitor or the President, in the end we're human and now we will see an end to a divide of classes in our nation. So thank you all and God bless." President Simon Pegg was immediately sworn in fully as President in his home church, over-riding the previous vows he took as interim President. The parties have started in Belfast and are expected to continue well into the night. I'm Jason Donovan reporting for the DPRM news channel, good night.
Edited December 10, 2010 by King Timmy Quote
