Section II Neither alliance shall engage in or endorse military action against the other signatory. If a nation is found in violation of this they will be ordered to offer peace and appropriate reparations as agreed upon by both alliances. Section III Neither alliance will engage in or endorse espionage against the other. Section IV Both alliances and their respective members shall remain civil to each other at all times, especially but not limited to the public forums. Section V If either alliance receives information concerning a threat to the other, the receiving alliance will notify the other signatory as soon as possible and provide the relevant information, keeping the source hidden if chosen. Section VI Should either alliance find themselves at war, members are encouraged to provide aid where possible to members of the that signatory, however such action is voluntary. Should Military, Diplomatic, Financial or other forms of Aid be needed by either party they may submit a private request for such aid to the other party. Should the request be denied, a written response should be privately conveyed within 48 hours of the request. Section VI Either signatory may terminate this pact at any time; however, the withdrawing alliance must notify the other signatory through diplomatic channels 48 hours prior to this, except when the countersigned has violated Sections II, III or IV.
Signed for The Order of Light, Lord Captain Commander, grahamkeatley Hand of Foreign Affairs, Mia Hand of Commerce, Dealmaster13 Hand of Internal Affairs, Creekynoise Hand of War, Dodoei123 Hand of Finance, PlanckBorn Inquisitor, The Dakotans Council of Light Signed for Europa, Grand Ayatollah -- Ernesto Che Guevara (Chax) Mint Ayatollah -- Kongo Jack (Deebo) Strawberry Ayatollah -- Rivertommy Vanilla Ayatollah -- Minister of Silly Walks Oh Captain my Captain -- LewisCowper Edited August 15, 2010 by Salmia

Uralica
Hey, maybe it's just an example of the genesis of clause-chaining in English. Or maybe it's just lexical ambiguity caused by the multiple meanings of "as." [/linguisticgeekery]

Salmia
Some people are trying to clean the treaty web, and others are cluttering it. Ah well. Good luck to both parties.
Would you prefer us not to sign any treaties at all? The days of there being only 15 alliances and a few MDoAPs are long gone. TOOL is not an alliance that has 15 + MDoAP ties all over the place. We treaty to those we have real friendships with. While I don't think you can have 15 MDoAP partners and be able to hold a close relationship with all of those - that is those alliances' business not TOOL's. It is rather ironic you'd say TOOL is cluttering the treaty web considering you have more treaty partners than TOOL.
Necromancer V4L
TREATIES ARE BAD THEY MAKE WEB CRAZY THEN WAR GO BOOM AND WE ALL NO KNOW WHAT IS LOVE BABY DONT HURT ME Seriously though, have fun peacefully aiding intelligence to each other. LittleRena
Another TOOL announcement that lacks drama? What sort of madness is this and Europa, I expected better from you, come on guys, I ordered tones of popcorn, I can't eat it without drama, if it spoils, I will demand reps Oh and grats on your PIAT

This treaty has nothing to do with the current war and I am sorry to disappoint you with that. A PIAT is a stepping stone better relations and considering Europa is a white alliance and TOOL has a general pro white sphere FA policy - this encourages that. It'd be foolish to sign a MDoAP or a higher level treaty without getting to know each other first, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't but a PIAT is a way to begin to find out. So your remark really doesn't make sense in relation to this. FYI - TOOL isn't allied to NSO.

I wasn't intentionally referencing the current wars, as most of those treaties have been MD/oA/P's that have been ignored. I was just talking about the PIAT in itself. Sorry to seem like I'm causing drama in this thread, I honestly wasn't trying to.
