Goodbye Lmcfalcon12

(MODS - If you deem this thread to be against the rules, so be it)

Well, because the previous thread was deleted, Lmc has no nation, and since he was banned from this forum (and I assume Legion's as well), I will post my final thoughts to/about Lmcfalcon12 here. I was a little late to the party, per se, but because this is the only medium left, I shall use it.

During my time at The Legion, from about February to May 2009, I came to know Lmc very well. He was my greatest friend, mentor, and source for help and advice while I was a member. I looked up to Lmc as one of the most wise members, but also very humble and accepting. He could crack a joke with you one sentence, and give serious military advice the next. If there was ever a member of any alliance I would want to pattern myself after, it would be Lmcfalcon12.

I won't lie, I make stupid mistakes sometimes (read: frequently), but there is one that I can strangely remember much better than the others. I now know why.

It was just after Legion had exited Karma. I had been complaining (too much) about rebuilding aid a few days before; the surrounding mood at the time was, 'keep your heads low, do what you can, and don't bother'. I wanted some tech deals, and the system on the Legion forums confused me. What I thought was a 'Tech deal form' turned out to be 'Apply for aid'. I recieved back a resounding 'No', along with a few paragraphs yelling on about how much aid had been recieved and such. I happened to notice CC'ed was, litterally, every important member in The Legion. I wrote a reply apologizing weakly and asking what to do, I was too frightened to be abhorrent or raise the fact I wasn't asking for aid. Lmc happened to be part of the group of messaged people, and he realised my plight. He rushed in, sacrificing his time, possibly his position and honor for a member he had known for but three month's time. He helped to make everyone involved know that I was just looking for tech deals, not aid.

He had no reason, reward, or tangible catalyst for what he did. It was simply the right thing to do. To me, that sentence is what describes the very being of Lmcfalcon12 - he never wanted drama, he didn't cheat, lie, nor use someone to better himself or his position. He just wanted to help and have a good time.

Well, that about sums up my thoughts about Lmcfalcon12. Lmc, if you read this, you're always welcome wherever I am in whatever medium. I can show up in more places than you think.

Please do not flame, if I understand correctly there has been twenty-three pages in two threads already of it.
If you, too, have any thoughts about him, post here.

Well tbh if you post up a homage thread like this then I'd expect to see the usual crowd come in and slate the guy, personally I'm one of them, I think the guys is an arrogant idiot, who when beaten in an argument would try to pick any flaw i.e. Spelling mistakes to make you look dumb. Coupled with the fact his own usage of the English dictionary was piss poor at best,. He had a cheek and I'm glad he is gone.

Also: really who cares what he done in LOLegion. Really nobody cares, people just like seeing people like him make stupidly long crying posts, along with the chance to poke fun at LoLegion.

I liked Lmcfalcon. I don't think there was any malice in him.

Occasionally people come along and people think they are trouble makers. I see if from a different angle (I was the same once). They need skilled management, more than the usual arm around the shoulder work and, most importantly, something to be doing. Keep them busy, make that energy work for you, not against you.

They tend to react with fire to fire, so it's no good just chewing them out unconstructively. Give them a direction and they'll burn like a laser. Don't and watch them burn the house down.

I care, actually. Like I said in the other thread, everyone has the right to go out without a wall of flame. Teddy, good on you mate for standing up for your friend. I never knew the guy but I wish him all the best in real life.

Falcon was a good friend and fellow legionnaire for quite some time. I suspect that much of his later postings reflected bitterness.

Farewell, friend

EDIT: Also, Hi Teddy! :D
