(re) Proclamation of the PRZ

Recommended Posts

Hundreds of citizens gathered in People's Square in preparation for the re-establishment of the People's Republic of Zhongnanhai. School children lined the square holding banners with patriotic slogans like "Loyal to the Party" or "Long Live the People's Republic of Zhongnanhai" Citizens shook red roses over their head to show solidarity with the socialist cause. The military, or rather what was left of the military, assembled. This would be the first time the People's Liberation Army would march in People's Square since 2008. The tanks, the mechanized forces were all gone, all that was left were the People Militia, the People's Police/Armed Police, and a handful of infantry.

As the National Government appeared over the Revolutionary Gate the crowd burst in loud cheers, eventually the steady chant of "Long Live Zhongnanhai" took hold for several minutes before the crowd died down. Premier Huang stepped forth to the microphones.

"Comrades! Today the People's Republic of Zhongnanhai will reinstate its bid to become a world power! We will regain our lost lands, we will rebuild our economy, and we will reconstruct our defenses. We will show the world the successes of socialist mobilization. It has been nearly 2 years since the People's Republic has been seen as a legitimate power, and now a new generation of leaders will witness the rebirth of our socialist republic. Today I formally declare the re-formation of the People's Republic of Zhongnanhai, the National Government, and the Party! Long Live Marxist-Leninism-Mao ZeDong thought! Long Live Zhongnanhai! Long live our great people and the unity with the world!"

(Soldiers fiercely shout patriotic slogans throughout the parade)

With the completion of the speech to crowd burst into cheers; they were only silenced by the playing of the New National Anthem, a modified version of "The East is Red"

The military marched with new determination. Gone were the Type 95 bullpup rifles, the soldiers marched equipped with the old Type 81 rifles, bayonets attached, the Militia even worse off with their Type 56 (AK-47) equipped with folding spike bayonets. There was a new sense of determination, not just among the servicemen, but among every man, woman, and child that Zhongnanhai had a right to reclaim its place in the world. As the last boots stamped across the square, and the evening slowly came upon the nation, fireworks were shot off, mostly in red and yellow (the national colors), and throughout the country, neighborhoods had prepared feasts, with hopes it would raise the spirits of their inhabitants as Zhongnanhai prepared to rebuild.
