U.S. Naval Build in Tandem Project finishes early in New Jersey

Under a very large naval expansion program started in the first year of Caudill's term the U.S. has completed its first "Boxed fleet" in New Jersey shipyards. It's a fleet designed to be built on parallel construction schedules to set specifications and completed at nearly the same time. The last ship to be completed finished today and the fleet was revealed to the U.S. navy as a group. The flagship was of course the CVN USS George Washington.

The total fleet composition slated below is now docked and refueling in Norfolk Harbor, taking on crews which had been training for deployment to these vessels at the US Naval Academy. The deployment of this fleet is another milestone on the United States of America's return to Super Power status.

9 Corvettes
9 Landing Ship
8 Battleship
7 Cruiser
7 Frigate
7 Destroyer
6 Submarine
6 Aircraft Carrier

The exact specs and build specifications have not been disclosed as a matter of National Security as these vessels are wielding state of the art technology.

High resolution pictures would be taken as the ships passed the Taeunas facility near Norfolk. In addition, passive detection equipment would read any emissions coming from the ships.

OOC: Yeah, I figured it would be a easy thing to do. Lol

Admiral Rawson stood on the bridge of the USS George Washington watching as each of the nine ships in TF 1.1 sailed East and then south from Toms River, New Jersey. The Entire Fleet consisting of three Aircraft Carrier Task Forces and two Submarine Task Forces were heading south to Norfolk Naval Base. A thunderous roar snapped the Fleet Admirals neck as a pair of F-35s launched off the deck of the GW.

By 1400 hours all ships and Submarines of the 1st Fleet arrived in Norfolk Naval base, Virginia. Admiral Rawson sought clarification of his orders while his Deputy Commander oversaw the refueling of the fleet. The fleet would add Air Wings while at sea. No carrier operations were permitted while in port.

"I Need to clarify whether or not, DOD wants me to take these Amphibious Assault Ships and Littoral Combat Ships with me to the west coast." Admiral Rawson spoke to Vice Admiral Dougherty.

"Aye sir," The Deputy Commander confirmed. "If they want you to invade someplace, I can understand bringing the LSDs and LCSs. If your mission will be one of deterrence, there is no reason to bring the Amphibs, especially without a complement of Marines. There is sufficient room for two Divisions of Marines there."

"How goes the refit for the Battle wagons and Camden?" The Commander asked his deputy.

"I have been informed by Partners, that the Railguns will be in place within the month."

"Tell me which systems are being removed to make room for the Railguns?"

"We want to retain the firepower of the 16" turrets for use in Naval Gunfire supporting a Marine Amphibious assault. The Railguns are small enough to be mounted on the gun decks both port and starboard. We will reduce the ship's firepower by eliminating the twenty 5-inch guns on each side [(127 mm) / 38 cal. Mark 12 guns]. Instead of the twenty five inchers, there will be eight 80 Mega Joule Rail Guns. We had to reduce the number of Rail guns as the barrels are much longer than the space previously occupied by the five inch turrets. Two rail guns on each side are on the main deck and two rail guns on each side are on the raised gun deck. When not in combat, the railguns' barrels are stowed in the trailing position and covered. The notion here was that a Battleship broadsides, would now consist of nine sixteen inch conventional munitions and four 80 Mega Joule Hyper velocity projectiles."

"Sounds great, Steve," Admiral Rawson slapped his deputy on the back. "I can't wait to see one in action."

ooc: Triyun, I stated over a month ago U.S. was working on a navy as part of U.S. actions thread. Others have given less notification of naval construction including yourself at times I believe unless you can show me where the USC's story arc is for the development and deployment of its navy.

OOC: I did: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=85326&view=findpost&p=2284400 <--- May 3rd was when we begun fleet production, I deployed my first warships on the 20th here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=86179&st=0&p=2304491&fromsearch=1&#entry2304491 The issue here really I think is that you would need to have him make the construction thread for his military. I could be wrong but this is how I believe a merger works.
