Anytime you have to cancel on friends it is difficult especially with many of these being very old treaties.

We thank all of our friends for being supportive during this rough patch for IRON, especially those in Duckroll.

I agree with you statement Rex, this is not something we're happy about... I hope that you are making the right move and that this doesn't come back to bite you in the butt IRON, because if it does, tough luck IRON you made the decision live with the consequences.

So you canceled treaties with some of your best friends? Point still being, this isn't like an STA-NSO relationship. You've just admitted to cancelling a slew of MDPs with your best friends. If you cared for them so much you wouldn't have canceled.

This move is good for many reasons. It will keep the alliances you just canceled on from looking too "large" for the CnG to worry about, and right now you have some good PR from Planet Bob as a whole, due to the Gramlins issue. Whether this is a short term strategy, or a longer term thing, it was a good move all the same. I can envision another group of alliances joining with you, creating a smaller, independent bloc. It would be full of the alliances who don't care to join with CnG or those alliances you canceled on.
