The Initiative Memorium

After being out of the game for a long time I'd just like to see if there were any former Initiative soldiers around that would like to say a word on our great group. We had fun while it lasted, dominated the world, destroyed all in our path and raised hell. Great War II and Great War III were some of the best times in this game and I don't truly know if anyone has been so completely and utterly dominant before or after. I am glad to have been a part of it and to have beaten down my fair share of League nations and Aegis nations, so for anyone else that happens to have been there, come by and share your favorite memories.

I would give my left arm to have that period in time back. The way the community/politics have developed since WUT's fall absolutely disgusts me.

I left the game shortly after the Unjust War but wasn't really active up until then. After rolling over FAN I lost a lot of interest.

That period is probably second in my most memorable periods. My time in Vox Populi was better imo but being in >_< during GW2 and GW3 was incredibly exciting as well. After the Green Civil War, I lost interest pretty quickly and by the time UJW rolled around I was growing more and more nihilist about the future of CN.

Was a fun period. I think you will find many Initiative soldiers around and all with fond memories for that block.

After pulverizing all of its inferior enemies ("going to zeh moonz", etc.) in all sense of that words, it cannibalized its self. In so many ways, its the natural life span of such political organisms. But all who were in whatever way apart of it, as said, will always think fondly of the good times.

It was a strong mother$%&@ig block :D

The triumphs. The betrayals. The intrigues. The caliber of people set against each other in balance. Certainly was an era.

Ardus! I was in the Viridian Entente, nice to see you around.

The quality of players then seem to have been a lot better than now.

We knew what we had to do and we had no qualms about doing it. And we had class. As did our opponents. But they were no less ruthless than we were.

$%&@ I miss it. Seriously.

WUT was cool but it had nothing on UJP, now that was a classy lineup of alliances.
Well minus one at least... the traitors.

Still Genmay was a part of it. o/ WUT

Certainly some of the most fun Ive ever had doing anything. Definitely enjoyed the schmoozing of all those high-level political players, and watching them work...

You know, it's very rare that Xiphosis and I agree on an issue, but this happens to be one of those issues. Back in the age of WUT, you had a few main groups, most groups were on relatively equal footing and fairly well matched in wits and guns, and you, with very few exceptions, knew where people stood. Further, people had a much easier time being both frank about their thoughts, as well as respectful about them. These days, most people are very much one or the other, but not both.
