king of cochin
The 2/5IR reached Sittwe, while the 6/5AD has landed units at Bassein, Mandalay, Monywa and Mansi to establish the logistical points centers for the humanitarian relief convoys starting from Chittagong and Imphal. Meanwhile the 6th Marine Division in Port Blair has dispatched its own Landing Ships to deliver food and medical supplies to the port in Bassein. Cartographic records from the time of earlier Cochin Burma Protectorate enabled greater speed to all these relief operations.

king of cochin
Cochin Protectorate Administration has established logistical distribution points and essential supplied distribution points in the Cochin Burma Protectorate. The ports of Bassein are now fully operational under Royal Cochin Navy to facilitate the stream of freighters bringing relief materials from the ports of Visakhapatnam and Haldia. The convoys have started regular services from Chittagong and Imphal to inner areas of the CBP carrying food, medicines and fuel. The Cochin Protectorate Administration now uses the 2nd Brigade, 5th Infantry Regiment to maintain the law and order as the 6th Brigade, 5th Airborne Division has taken up a principally logistics support role. Additional airborne assets have been sourced from 5th Airborne Division's Regimental Headquarters at Port Blair to assist in the relief operations. Cochin Protectorate Administration is also working to establish an autonomous self governing institution until a local government forms up seeking independence.
