Centurius
In addition the Athenian Federation would like to present another motion to the Parliament for a more efficient voting process. As such we hereby propose to add another section to Article 6
Section 5: After an issue has been put forward to the Parliament all members have 72 hours to contact their governments and issue their vote before the vote will end and their vote considered an abstain.
We believe this edit will make the organization within the MEMU more effective. Ezequiel
Renaldo Raquel stands up in front of the Parliament, clears his throat and starts to speak. 'Members of the Mediterranean Parliament, the nation of Tiministan has declared war on our nation by entering our territory in Antarctica. We would like to start a discussion about this matter with everyone. What are your thoughts on the situation and would you be willing to defend España from these attacks?' He sits down and waits for the responses from the rest of the members.
Centurius
Athena looked up as the delegate from Espana spoke. "Before the Federation can decide on the issue we need to know what exactly has happened. The current problem with military support through the Union is that this pact was mostly formed as a defensive treaty. The expansion into Antarctica has an element of aggression so we need to know the full story"
Ezequiel
'Certainly. We felt that the people of the former nation of Aerok deserved better rulers than that of any ruler in Antarctica. The people sent us an encrypted message which we have decoded as asking for help from the nation of Tiministan, which they believe has committed genocide to another former nation. We can not confirm or deny this rumor however. You see, we don't wish for a colony. Only the safety and prosperity of these people, a base for research is merely a plus. If any of us, however, wish to have a base in Antarctica then Tiministan will stop us. They aren't very powerful, however they do have a navy and we do not. If any of you would be willing to support us we won't need much support at all. All we would need help with is breaking their blockaid on our territory and we can handle the rest. We certainly understand this is meant merely for defense and if you won't support us then we will not hold it against you since it is not in our treaty. This may be some sort of aggression, but we don't see it as an aggressive action since the people were in anarchy. Tiministan started the issue, but we won't point blame at anyone here. That is up to you and the public.' Mr. Raquel said.
Centurius
Just as Athena wanted to reply a message from Imperial Command reached her blackberry, after reading it she looked back up again. "Mister Raquel, confirmation has been given by Irish authorities that fighters have engaged Tiministan diplomats. Are these fighters yours?"
Ezequiel
Mr. Raquel was stunned. He stood in shock, then replied... 'No, they are not of España. Our President is over in Ireland, why would we risk his life for a mere attack on a diplomat? I apologize for these acts, if we have the chance we will arrest and/or destroy those responsible for this attack if we have the chance. We may be at war with Tiministan, but we are certainly not cowardly enough to kill a diplomat.'

King Timmy
*** Private message to the Athenian Federation *** Espana has comitted a vilianous crime by shooting down one of our diplomats in Ireland. We recieved these messages in response to the downing of our diplomats plane.
Classified response to Timministan: The H.M.S. Chronicle and her battle group have arrived, and left the scene of the original incident. Chronicle left behind two ships while the others have moved on to the scene of incident number two. Irish fighters reported downing multiple bogies, shoots were seen to have deployed though the pilots were unsure of the enemy's survival. The H.M.S. Gurtha and H.M.S. Wildfire have reported that no one survived the original incident, I repeat, no one has survived the original incident. Wreckage has been identified by Naval divers as that of your SR-71, additional wreckage has revealed what appears to be Espana insignias and markings on two other planes. The Chronicle's battle group is nearing the site of incident number two, and when they arrive, divers will try to identify the markings on the other planes. Regards, Irish Naval Command

Emerald One, this is Lion one. We are have reason to believe the UFO's oriinate from the Iberian Peninsular. Radar on the Isle of Scilly picked up the UFO's inbound from the South European theatre. Following a direct straight line trajectory, we have a strong indication that those planes are Spanish. Please advise.
As Espana is a member state of your Mediterranean Parliament, we thought it would be right to inform you of the crime that has been comitted on a Diplomat, who was infact just leaving a diplomatic meeting with Espana. It seems our General caught them out. As I am sure you know Espana has tried to claim land in Antarctica. We feel they did this under the false pretence that they were asked for help, and also the false claim of spanish descendants being in the claimed area. When asked to simply provide proof of a message or that there was spanish descendants they refused, so our diplomat decided there was no point in continuing the meeting. Only their president could have known he was leaving at that exact time to give the order for Espana fighters to attack. We are asking Ireland to contain him within their borders currently, pending further investigation. Feel free to pursue these claims we have put forward should you feel the need. Centurius
**Classified message to Tiministan** We thank you for your updates and can understand the conclusions you came to. While the evidence is strong we would like an impartial investigation to remove any doubt. Meanwhile the diplomatic immunity of the President is still in effect until his government voids it. In line with this we would like to request an Athenian observer to be near the president and make sure his rights are protected. Should the investigation reveal Espana is in fact at fault Athens will not defend them and recommend the same to the Mediterranean Economic and Military Union.
