To: The Foreign Ministry of the United Mechodamian States
From: HIH Therese I, Empress of France

Excellency,

In light of furthering France's diplomatic friendship across the world, the lack of any type of diplomatic discussion between the UMS and the Empire is disturbing to be perfectly honest. Out of all the nations of Africa, it would appear to us that the UMS is truly the guardian of the continent, especially after the recent civil war that has engulfed the Carthaginian state and while we have not made the reach to Carthage, it is my believe that a push to the UMS would be just as wise. Therefore I write this as an invitation of a Mechodamian representative to come to Versailles so that diplomatic discussion may begin and perhaps end with talk of a formal treaty between our peoples, in hopes of further uniting the continents of Europe and Africa and if not that, to bring together your nation and my empire.

In addition to those reasons, the section of Africa you currently control was once home to the African holdings of our French Empire years ago. Do not take that as anything of a threat, while I am an imperialist I would much rather work together with the UMS to achieve both of our cultural and political goals around the world. Which I hope that both your leaders and myself will be in accord of. But I believe the old empire allows us to see the bringing together of our pasts and our cultures into one power to stand united.

Needless to say, I await the response of your Ministry as well as a representative with all haste.

Sincerely,

Therese Zelle
Empress of France

The representative would be directed and welcomed of course to the International Airport in Paris, where they would be received by the French Honor Guard, General Fleur Delacour commanding. After being received there was taken by limousine in a light rain to the Palace of Versailles where the representative was taken through the gilded corridors and halls to the Apollo Room, Therese's throne room where the Empress sat. She stood up, brushing her hair aside, just barely hiding her eye patch over her right eye and smiled at the representative. "Your Excellency." Therese said straightening her robes and taking the representative's hand. "It is a pleasure to finally welcome you to Versailles, and to France. I am Therese Zelle, Empress of France, though I'm afraid I did not catch your name. It could be assumed you know why an audience has been summoned? For the extension of our relations."
