land units

We are buying land by the diameter, rather than square miles... that doesn't really make sense. So if my nation is 2 miles in diameter (the area = 1 * pi square miles) and I buy 10 units of land I'll now have a 12 mile diameter (area = 36 * pi square miles) and the increase in area is 35*pi square miles. Now if my nation is 200 miles in diameter (area=10,000 * pi square miles) and I buy 10 units of land I'll have 210 mile diameter (area=11,025 * pi square miles) and the increase in area is 1025*pi square miles. Just change the units to square miles ( and recalculate the google map diameter ) and it will make more sense.
