[u][b]RULES:[/b][/u]
1. You must be capable of paying 200 tech to enter the competition. Rule 2 may cover for this.

2. You may have others pay your debts for you. For example, pay a smaller nation 3 mill and they'll ship 100 tech to the winner in the form of a tech deal. Do it twice for the 200 tech if that case occurs.

3. No more than 4 rulers may choose the same FIFA nation.

4. No more than 2 rulers from a single alliance may choose the same FIFA nation.

5. You may swap tech for cash at the rate of 3 mill/100 tech, but only if the winner requests it.

6. You must not be on any Target (ZI, PZI, etc.) lists during payout time, else face forced withdrawal.

7. Losing nations must pay their tech within a reasonable amount of time set by the winner (minimum of 26 days before a breach of the rules is considered).

8. Alliances under surrender terms are free to partake in this competition so long as they are not barred explicitly from sending tech/cash to outside alliances (or receiving them).

9. You may not enter the competition after it has begun, nor can you withdraw from it AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON after the first game has begun.

10. Should your nation delete then you have lost your winnings and they will be distributed among remaining winners, or you will no longer be entitled to pay the 100 or 200 tech you owe.

11. You are free to distribute your winnings to whoever you want.

12. You may enter at most three times for three different nations. The distribution requirements are that one nation must be expected and the other two unexpected.
Example: Italy (Expected), Ghana (Unexpected), Chile (Unexpected) is an admissible distribution.
Do note that entering more than once would also require you to pay up that much tech as well should all 3 of those nations lose.
For the above example, if an expected nations wins you would owe Italy (100) + Chile (100) + Ghana (100) = 300 tech. However, if an unexpected nations wins, you'd owe 600 tech.

[b][u]WINNINGS:[/u][/b]
1. Should an expected nation win the world cup, your winnings will be at most 3,000 tech.
2. Should an unexpected nation win the world cup, your winnings will be at most 6,000 tech.
3. Above refers to the fact that you will pay 100 tech to the winner if an expected nation wins, and 200 tech to the winner if an unexpected nation wins.

[b][u]COMPUTATION OF WINNINGS:[/u][/b]
The computation is as follows:

First, suppose an expected nation has won the world cup. That is, every loser in the competition will owe 100 tech. At most there are exactly 30 * 4 losers, or 120 losers. Then 120 * 100 is 12,000, but there are at most 4 winners, meaning that each winner receives 12,000/4 = 3,000 tech. That is actually the maximum winnings, but note that there may be less people involved so the winnings goes down with it.

In general:
Expected nation victory => Number of Losers * 100 / Number of Winners
Unexpected nation victory => Number of Losers * 200 / Number of Winners

Also made clear that loser only owes one nation, so you pay 50 tech packets to that nation until your debt is paid off.

Sure there's a lot of rules but most of them are trivial things you'd already expect and want.

That rules me out straight away, regardless of the fact that I could easily still pay any winnings owed.

Okay I've heard a lot of complaints about the tech requirements. I've therefore altered how much you need before you can enter. That is, you now need at minimum greater than or equal to 200 tech.

I have also completely revised the Rules to be more fair as well as easier to read.

That is actually the maximum winnings, but note that there may be less people involved so the winnings goes down with it. 3,000 tech itself is actually 10 cycles of 6 aid packets of 50 tech. Every cycle is 10 days long, so that's optimally about 100 days to receive 3,000 tech in full if one nation wants it, assuming they have foreign ministry and disaster relief agency, lol. That's kind of why it's called "Eternal Tech" competition, but I doubt you'd even want to horde up that much tech for yourself...


I edited the requirements rule again. I noticed some nations have high infras. but almost no tech, so that means they can easily buy 50 tech packets every 10 days. Hence, I changed the rule from owning tech to being capable of buying the tech.
