Tech raiding

It has been a while since I seriously played this game in-depth. I remember in the old days there used to be tech raiders who would go around pillaging nations who were independent. Does this savagery still occur today, and if it does what is the likelihood of being raided?

It goes on. If an unaligned Nation grows over a certain Nation Strenght being raided becomes 99.99% guaranteed (you can avoid it if you have the [url="http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=5924"]#3 nation[/url] and your nukes can send anybody back to the Stone Age).
I'd say that getting over 5k NS without being raided (too much) is extremely hard, and that the danger is already significant at 2k NS.

If you want to do something about it you may read about the Celestial Being, and consider joining them.

But how can they simply attack people's nations without any justification? They can't do that! And who are the celestial being?

Sure they can, it's a nation simulation game, and nations go to war. They may not go to war in modern times to gain tech (or amusement) from other nations, but warfare for economic gain was common centuries ago.

Celestial Being is an alliance, who jerdge would appear to want you to join.

I will not join an alliance. They are all the same and they all offer the same thing. I'd rather be attacked by people who are too lazy to get their own tech than have to join another BORING alliance.

I was merely mentioning CB as they are against tech raids (and, IIRC, they grant temporary membership/protection with little to no requirements/requests to "anybody" that just wants to avoid being raided) - hence Bleh32 seemed to fit well with them.
I am actually fine with Bleh staying unaligned or joining any other Alliance. I have no links to CB and in fact I know about their existence only because I noticed a couple of threads of them on these forums.

Well, you can certainly do that. I'd respect that, sticking up for your independence and all.

You could also join an alliance that's trying to do something about tech raiding and add your strength and passion to help counter the practice.

wow theres sure alot of opposition to tech raiding, of which i myself am i supporter. its a sport
