"This is great news. I'll inform the president. Test it immediately." He nodded.

"Yes, Sir. I'll relay the order." Tacket exited the room to issue the instructions to the 1st Engineers Battalion.

About 24 hours later, the following test was conducted in an abandoned gravel pit in southern Kentucky.

This event would be observable by satellite and by some other forms of detection.

We have recovered a portion of the arsenal of the Old United States of America which was vaulted beneath the Kentucky Army Depot. Our engineers are working to reverse engineer the warheads even now.

The device in question is a tactical device. Atmospheric material ejection of material was considered before the test and the fallout footprint is very minimal. We intend to have clean-up teams clear the areas by stripping some of the upper layer of gravel and interning it into a 3 mile deep hole drilled by an oil rig excavator. That said, the test was planned in advance and we do not anticipate any long-term fallout issues.

The Imperium of Canada, whilst respecting and understanding the decision to obtain, test and stockpile nuclear weapons, condemns not only the above ground test, but the attainment of nuclear weapons in general.

Enough Nations in this world can cause a nuclear holocaust, and one more is not a good thing.

The Reich congratulates the US in their procurement and successful test of a nuclear weapon. That said, we are highly disturbed by the testing of such a weapon ABOVE GROUND where the factor of nuclear radiation is an all dangerous reality. We shudder to think that said radiation would be spread by the wind throughout the Eastern seaboard, and perhaps even be spread north, where it might affect Coruscanta, Disparu, and *Shudder* the Reich itself. As of which, we hope next time you perform such tests you perform an undeground weapons test to prevent radioactive fallout being spread through the atmosphere.

Reports indicate this weapon was detonated somewhere in the old state of Kentucky. This was an above ground test. Sensors have not picked up any radiation over Republic of York lands, though prevailing winds in the northern jet stream, dipped abnormally low for this time of year, could bring fallout over the Republic of York. Director Ahab Napoleon released this statement just a few moments ago.

"My fellow citizens, today we have seen the rise of a new nuclear power just south of our borders. While normally this would be a cause for celebration, as new clean fuels would be developed, and a nation is technologically sound, we cannot help but see this as nothing more than an aggressive act by a terrorist state. The fact that members of the Dragon Cult, known for their suicide attacks for what they believe is "right" now have nuclear weapons is something that should make the whole world shudder. How long will it be before some nation is subject to a nuclear terrorist attack from these fanatics? I reiterate once again that our border with the United States remains closed, and we call on them to renounce their nuclear research. Analysts have debated the intelligence in such a move, fearing it could escalate a cold war on the American continent. Still others think that this was what Mr. Napoleon had to do, otherwise he would face the ire of a rising percentage of the populous who sees their southern neighbors as, not only composed mostly of religious fanatics, but dangerous as well.
