Recommended Posts

A telegram with a list of bullet pointed questions was sent to The Isara Alliance:

*What are your views on the Canadian Empire?
*Whats your reaction to the nuclear attacks on the Empire?
*What is your foreign policy?
*Do you consider yourself a local, regional, or international power?
*What are your internal policies?
*What are your views on the Arctic cold war between the Empire and Blue Heaven?
*Whats the general Isaran view on the Coalitions war against Tahoe?

What is your major religion?

What are your foreign, social and economic policies?

What do you think of the following nations: Canadian Empire, Kriegsland and United Isocoles?
The Alliance has no state religion, though the vast majority of our citizens are irreligious and have no religion.

We pursue a policy of economic prosperity and mutual cooperation with our neighbours. Our economy is dependent on manufacturing our own goods and exporting them.

We have yet to formulate an opinion of such a distant nation as the Canadian Empire. We are currently in the process of diplomatic discussion with Kriegland, and expect a good relationship. We have little also to say of the United Isocoles, as we have yet to see much of your nation's government and policies.

1) We have yet to formulate an opinion on so distant a nation as the Canadian Empire.
2) The Alliance considers nuclear attacks to be cowardly unless extremely necessary.
3) We pursue a policy of economic prosperity and mutual cooperation with our neighbours.
4) As we have yet to present ourselves on a major scale to the international community, we can only call ourselves a regional power at this time.
5) We have a very regulated and strict policy concerning our nation and its people. We can say little more at this time.
6) We consider a Cold War to be a pointless and unneccesary waste of time. Thusly we consider the Canadian-Blue Heaven Cold War.
7) We consider a number of nations attacking a single nation to be a cowardly move, though, having seen Tahoe's actions and policies, the war was not altogether unwarranted.

OoC: Artic cold war lol. XP

IC:

What are your thoughts on nuclear weapons?

Do you posses nuclear weapons?

If you were to be struck with a nuclear weapon how would you retaliate?
We possess no nuclear weapons at this point, though we are researching nuclear energy and its uses.
We consider the use of nuclear weaponry to be cowardly unless extremely necessary.
Given the destructive effects of a nuclear weapon, it is doubtful we would be able to retaliate militarily. Most likely, we would instead use our resources on rebuilding.

A second Telegram was sent to TIA.

Thankyou for your speedy response to our questions, and we have some more prepared if you dont object?

*Would you consider an Economic treaty with the Empire?
*Why do you have strict regulation and such on your people?, does it benefit the Government, or the population?
*What are your long term goals on an international level?

1) Given the large distance between our nations, we cannot guarantee such a treaty would be approved of by the Drei Macht. However, if you desire such a treaty, it will be discussed.
2) It benefits both. In fact, had you walked among the daily lives of Isaran citizens, many of them approve of the heavy regulation and monitoring, and live regulated lives by their own choice. Those who are doing nothing wrong have nothing to fear.
3) The Isara Alliance wishes to make itself a major military and economic player in the international scene. One of our main goals at this time is a navy, which we believe is instrumental to trade with our regional neighbours.
The Puerto Rican National Party. No offense meant to...Funkyheim's culture, but it is difficult to take a nation with such a name and leader seriously.

No offense taken! One final question; how many parties are currently going on in the Isara alliance?
There are no parties in the Isara Alliance--the nation is run exclusively by the Drei Macht, a three-person military dictatorship.

Once your internal goals are achieved, how greatly will your foreign policy differ between nations in the same region as yourself, and nations further afield?
Once we have become a more internationally known power, we will be more likely to pursue relations with more distant nations.

"Alexei Halam, Slavic Federal News Network. I have a few questions.
1. What is the Isara Alliance's policy on drugs and mind-altering herbs?
2. What is the Isara Alliance's stance towards the Slavic Federation?
3. What is your policy on chemical and biological weapons?
4. Geographically and politically, how sound do you think Isara's location is?"

1. We do not tolerate any drugs whatsoever in the Alliance. Any citizen taking/selling such drugs will be arrested.
2. We have yet to formulate a stance towards the Slavic Federation, having had little contact between our nations, and we have seen little of the Federation's actions.
3. We advocate the use of biological and chemical weapons only in rare situations, or if cornered. In other words, only when it is most necessary.
4. How 'sound'? We are not altogether sure what you mean. We consider Isara to be in a good location, given that it is near a trade center, and has relatively good relations with most of its neighbours.

"1. What is your nation's definition of drugs?
2. Mkay.
3. Quite.
4. I mean that you're a small nation stuck between two larger nations, a similar-sized nation, and some nation named after a type of triangle."

1. We have an extensive list...shall we provide a copy?
4. We do prefer to think that there really is no point in attacking us, though our analysts are constantly searching for such a reason. As for a nation named after a triangle...if reports are to be believed, their chief religious figure is also named after a triangle.

4. I agree, there's no reason to invade such a young nation. I take it you're not paranoid about the big powers and the triangular [s]creeps[/s] people?"

Well, we are very...on guard. In fact, our military is designed to be prepared to mobilize on the drop of a coin. As for the Triangular People...we feel no threat from them, as they are not much more powerful than us.

* What are your views on Japan?

1) Given that we have had little contact, and we have seen little of Japan's governmental actions, we have yet to formulate an opinion of Japan.
2) Our current focus is on building up regional diplomacy, though we are also open to more distant relations.
3) We consider the use of nuclear weaponry to be cowardly unless it is extremely necessary.
