Strangely enough, it wasn't from the three people who usually conduct state visits; Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chancellor (both were in a diplomatic meeting in the Imperial Hudson Reich), or the King himself (he had been rather busy with his personal life within the past few weeks, and was technically "off-duty").

As soon as the Disparueans received word of the meeting's date and time, Triumvir Berlitz was immediately notified to get ready and head for the nearest international airport. He was in Eterna with his wife at that time, he quickly explained the situation to her, packed everything he would need, and kissed his wife before leaving. Normally, he would just use the subway to get to the airport, but since the meeting was urgent, he had to take a Government helicopter instead and was flown to the airport.

Now, after much running and waiting, the Triumvir was finally in his business class seat in a chartered aeroDisparu flight. They still had half an hour before arriving at the Coruscantan capital, so he still had time to compose himself and prepare everything he needed for the meeting.

Despite the unwillingness of the Kaiser to go, the Chancellor and Foreign Minister forced him otherwise, and so, he flew from New Berlin International Airport in his personal Airbus A300. About half an hour later, he arrived at the capital of Coruscanta, still grumbling all the way about how difficult and awkward the meeting will turn out, and he personally wished he stayed home.

Triumvir Berlitz's plane would be met by Adviser on Foreign Affairs Antonius Mihály, with a few 501st soldiers acting as guards. "Triumvir Berlitz, welcome to Coruscanta. A car will arrive shortly to pick us up to bring us to Parliament. We have many things to discuss with you."

Unlike the Disparu flight, the IHR plane would be met by Kazimir Trentino himself, hearing that the Kaiser had "decided" to attend. Like the Disparu flight, he would be escorted by 501st soldiers, although noticeably more with seven soldiers on watch. "Welcome sirs. There should be a limo coming by any minute to pick us up and take us to Parliament."

Berlitz greeted and shook hands Adviser Mihály as he stepped down. "Thank you, thank you." said Berlitz as he was welcomed. "It's great to be here in your nation. Out of curiosity, what topics will we be discussing in your Parliament?"

"There are some scientists present who wish to discuss something they claim to be of "great importance". Some military project Kazimir has commissioned to be released to both of your nations only recently. Our Adviser on the Military Xarles will also be present to address any concerns." As he finished his monologue, the limo pulled up and in about a half-hour dive both limos were at Parliament.

Inside some white-coated scientists and Xarles Cloutier stood awaiting, with several designs spread out on the table in front of them. All but three of the 501st soldiers exited the room, guarding the door. "Please, have a seat." As they did so, Kazimir cleared his throat. "Well, there are several things I wish to discuss, so please bear with me. Of course, the first item on our agenda would be what do your nations wish to know about Coruscanta?"

Berlitz sat down on his designated seat as he was escorted into the room. He eyed the scientists with curiosity as he sat down.

"Well, there are several things I wish to discuss, so please bear with me." said a man named Kazimir, who was presumably the Director. "Of course, the first item on our agenda would be what do your nations wish to know about Coruscanta?" he asked.

[i]Nothing really, to be frank.[/i] thought Berlitz, though he didn't say it. It was obviously impolite and would land him into trouble both here and back home. "Well...the Government is quite curious as to what kind of people did we grant the protectorate to." started Berlitz. "First of all, what kind of government are you? What are your priorities? How do you feel about your neighbours, North America, and the world?"

"Our system can only be described as Parliamentary Dictatorship, really. If I wish to do something, say enact a new law or begin a draft, I need to contact Parliament and hope that they pass it before I can take any official action. It's a good system, really. Our priorities will be Coruscanta first, allies second, the rest later in terms of importance. We are a warrior culture, if you're wondering where that mindset comes from. I can't say Coruscanta has an opinion on any of her neighbors, since we are still rather new. The same applies to North America and the world, we can't form an opinion until we begin to meet. Are there any questions from the Reich?"

IC: After about two minutes of silence, Kazimir again clears his throat. "Well, I believe it is time to bring up one of the more important matters i wished to discuss. Adviser Xarles Cloutier has strongly advised against this, yet I feel we should begin reaching out early. Xarles, if you will." Xarles sighs, takes a seat next to Kazimir and slides several pictures across to the diplomats. "This machine was brought directly to Kazimir Trentino in his office two weeks ago. Nobody knows where it's from, who made it or even who brought it. Security tapes show that the man kept a hood over his face and wore gloves. But that's beside the point. From what we can build with the pieces and the blueprints included, it appears to be an automated machine gun. It features dual rotational miniguns, yet the only ammunition included were paintballs. The targeting system is extremely primitive, sometimes firing on objects identified as friendlies."

Xarles slides over a third picture, this one the weapon as seen from the side.

"What we wish to know is if your governments would be willing to assist us in this endeavor to recreate and potentially mass-produce this weapon, for use not only by us but for both of your nations as well. To prevent the weapon from being used on all of our soldiers, we propose an alliance. A three-way MDP or NAP, if you will. I don't wish to impose upon you something you don't wish to be a part of, so Kazimir and I have agreed to allow you to bring the concept back to your nations for government view. Our scientists here can answer any questions or concerns you may have." Xarles leaned back slightly, closing his eyes and wondering why he was stupid enough to allow Kazimir to do this.

Berlitz studied the pictures with disbelief. Berlitz said, "No offense, Director, but if the machine came from an unknown source, and has 'bugs', then wouldn't it be unsafe to use in the battlefield, nay, anywhere else this machine may be used.

Also, in regards to the treaty, we [i]may[/i] be willing to sign a NAP with this nation if you don't have the tendency to spark war. However, we may not be able to sign a MDP, out of fear that we might get locked by conflicting military treaties, as demonstrated during the War on Tahoe."

The Kaiser sighed and replied "What Ambassador Berlitz said, if this weapon isn't reliable, it wouldn't be worth to make, plus, there's the ammunition. If if shoots paintballs, it wouldn't be a reliable weapon on the battlefield, it sounds more like a last-ditch riot control tool. As for the treaties, um, I'm not sure at this point.."

"Both can be remedied. We believe the paintball ammunition was used only as target practice: we can easily rechamber the miniguns to use more lethal ammunition. As with the bugs in the targeting system, we were hoping that it could be a joint project between our three nations. Of course, it is your choice. An NAP is agreeable for us."

"If that is the case, then we may be able to help you mass produce these miniguns. If you don't mind, I will have to show these pictures and blueprints to the Disparuean Minister of Defence and the Minister of Science and Technology, just to see what they think and to work out any potential pitfalls. As for the NAP, we will be able to sign it, but I will have to contact the Minister of Foreign Affairs first, since I'm not in a position to sign treaties."

"Of course, of course. There are copies right here." Kazimir slides a folder across containing blueprints and several shots of the Sentry from various angles, detailing mechanisms and the like. "Would the Reich like a copy as well?"

Nodding, the Kaiser replied "Yes, of course."

"Thank you, thank you." said Berlitz as he placed the copies into a briefcase he was carrying. "I will show these copies to the Government as soon as I return to Disparu. I assume that we will be contacting your government as soon as we have made a decision."

Berlitz paused, then asked, "Is there anything else you would like to discuss?"

IC: "Nothing that we can think of. You are free to travel about the city as you wish, and your planes are ready to go on your command back to your nations."

"Well, we might as well begin manufacture on this thing, so it would be used for crowd control and for help in training, as long as the bugs are um, fixed."

"If the target I.D. system is fixed, then yes, the bugs will be worked out and it will be done, all that would be needed are factories and microchips to produce the guns and aid the target system. Regardless, refitting has been completed and the gun can now accept 30. caliber rounds."

"Ah, good, yes, I'll see if I can convince the Minister of Armaments, Donald Georgia, to see if he can order the production of these guns to begin when I get back."
