Triyun
In the last week of campaigning the results investigation of the Fujian Riots have been released by the Ministry of Justice. The National Electoral Commission has announced that the United Alliance is disqualified from the election. The Neo Imperial Party's right wing has also been stricken from the ballot. The remaining candidates have joined the United for China Party under a last minute compromise. The candidates have delivered their final stump speeches before the elections: Prime Minister Wei of United China's Speech "Countrymen. China faces a great journey before it. For years we have been stricken with disunity and instability. United China offers practical solutions devoid of ideology and distraction. The United China Party will bring economic growth through the building of a strong financial system which will provide affordable capital to entrepreneurs and investments in building foreign trade. As we transform the economy we will provide social safety nets to workers and train them in new fields. We will combat the dual evils of reactionary superstitions and false revolutionaries who spend more time concentrating on the intellectual process of revolution rather than on the practical effects of governing. We shall build a new meritocratic system to deliver vital services to the Chinese people, one which is based on fairness and rewarding those who develop the most effective and efficient methods of delivering services. We will continue to invest in science and innovation as China reclaims its historical mandate of discovery. Our culture will become strong once more, and we will once again shape our own future!" Home Minister Mao of the Guomindang Speech "Today China faces a decisive hour. The Guomindang started its quest now nearly a century ago. We have fought a hard fight. We have struggled long and hard. Now our time has come. The Guomindang Party will build a new China once more. Join us as we dawn a new century of truimph!" Assemblyman Zhang of the Guomindang Liberal Party Speech "As we step over the bridge into a new era. We must make a choice. Are we for national glory or are we for the people? The Chinese nation is a nation of farmers and laborers as much as it is a nation of philosophers, generals, and Emperors. We must not forget the great masses who history has passed over even as our civilization advanced forward. I ask you for the chance to govern not because I am seeking great national truimph but because I am seeking a great moral truimph. Vote Guomindang Liberal." Triyun
With polls closed the results are in. In a national percentage of vote totals, the United China Party has won forty five percent of the vote, with about thirty percent of the vote going to the Guomindang Liberal and twenty five percent going to the Guomindang. What is more incredible though is that the GMD has failed to win many seats at all. On an individual seat level the GMD did had more support in rural districts than the UCP but less than the Guomindang Liberal. The reverse was true in suburban and urban districts where the UCP swept to victory and the Guomindang Liberals were wiped out being viewed as agricultural populists who favored autarky. The new parliament will establish the UCP as the major governing party. Many view the Guomindang as permanently reduced to a junior partner as the UCP has usurped their message and is seen as the party of young energetic technocrats, and the GMD is now seen as exhausted old guard. The new parliament shall be the following: 66 UCP Seats 25 Guomindang Liberal Seats 10 Guomindang Seats We are receiving a live feed from the United China's Leader, Prime Minister Wei. "Today United China has won a broad mandate. We have won a mandate to move China along a course to true global integration, prosperity, and strength. I will continue to move the United States of China forward in turning it into a modern country. I vow that we will now implement a bold modernization agenda with our paramount military leader Chairman X and President Chiang that will leap us forward! Good night!"
