Within this document The Legion extends the hand of growth and protection to Patiens Res Publica. The purpose of this treaty to allow Patiens Res Publica to flourish and grow without fear of foreign aggressors or bullies. It is hoped that this treaty will lead to a great friendship where both signatories can safely say the other is their ally.

Both alliances shall recognise that each signatory is a sovereign alliance and that whilst common values are shared, both alliances exist as separate entities. Each signatory acknowledges that respect, civility and diplomacy shall be their first language and that all problems shall be resolved peacefully where possible.

Article II – Non-Aggression:
The Legion and Patiens Res Publica both take a stance of blanket non aggression toward one other. Where infractions occur, peaceful solutions shall be sought. In the spirit of non aggression both alliances agree not to wage war on members of the other signatory, or perform acts of espionage.

Article III – Economic Assistance:
The Legion is encouraged to assist and advance the economic growth of Patiens Res Publica wherever possible. Joint trade and tech ventures will be encouraged, and should tech sellers or buyers be required within Patiens Res Publica, they shall seek suppliers or sellers primarily from The Legion (should such services be available). Should Patiens Res Publica directly require economic advice, The Legion will be happy to send an economic envoy to advise or conduct an audit. Such requests should be made directly to The Legion Minister of Economics.

Should The Legion deem it necessary to partake in any aggressive action against a third party, again Patiens Res Publica is encouraged but not required to join The Legion in such a venture.

Article V – Tech Raiding:
The Legion and Patiens Res Publica both adamantly agree to condemn any form of tech raiding. Such acts would be in directly violations of this treaty.

Article VI – Intelligence:

Article VII – Government Access:
Within Patiens Res Publica's private forums a suitable area will be made available where confidential discussions can be made. This private forum will be viewable by Patiens Res Publica's Government, Advisors and no more than two selected Legion Government members, or assigned Envoys. Should larger participation be required, both parties may agree to allow more members from either alliance into the discussion chambers.

Article VIII – Reporting of Treaties:
Patiens Res Publica is obliged to report to the Legion all treaties proposed. The Legion must give their consent before any treaty can be passed, and the Legion is free to make any recommendations upon the presented treaty.

Article IX - Community:
It is strongly encouraged that both signatories engage each others membership. Ways to improve communications and relations are defined as, but not limited to, forum parties, spam offs, general discussions and membership exchanges.

Article X – Cancellation and Re-evaluation:
Either party may cancel the treaty at any time. Should either signatory wish to remove their commitment to the treaty they shall inform the Government of the other party giving them 72 hours notice. Once the 72 hours has transpired the signatory is free to withdraw their commitment to the treaty. When Patiens Res Publica reaches 700,000 NS or 100 members (which comes sooner) a re-evaluation shall occur. It is strongly encouraged that during this re-evaluation the aforementioned treaty shall be made obsolete, and that it should be upgraded to a full MDoAP.
