bigwoody
If he sigged every quote of someone being mistaken, even if it was limited to those about TORN, his sig would be several miles long, so there must be a reason for that particular quote? Which brings me back to my original question about taking pleasure from being bailed out of a losing situation by another alliance's rashness, and absolutely nothing to do with any achievement from your alliance at all. Pretty safe to say you won the war anyway since you issued terms to Nexus, not vice versa, which makes it even more confusing to choose a quote alluding to that possibility. Should get back on topic I suppose. Which of TORN's achievements are you most proud of? Are you disappointed that some alliances chose not to sign the recent orange sphere treaty?
The Nexus fight was a nice little win for us in that war, and we were especially amused by the outrage they felt over getting nuked when they bandwagoned in. I suppose you just walked into that one. I'm most proud of how we performed this war, how well we came together as an alliance and only had one active member surrender. The end result is I have a battle tested member core, and that means a lot of potential. Second is the WotC Duckroll. I mean DAMN. The one regret I have about wars being all-nuclear now is that the Duckroll will never be repeated on a grand scale like that. I am disappointed about the confrontational state of orange politics, which seems to be the root cause of some not participating in orange cooperation. We've fallen a long way from "Best Sphere Ever". At the same time though, no one has yet violated the most important tenants of not driving people off the sphere, not starting sanction/trade wars, etc. There is yet hope, but it is disheartening to see the well of orange cooperation poisoned.
