I want it to be known that this brings us no pleasure. There is no hate here, no death wish, no deep seeded need for vengeance. However, while there is an element of regret in what we must do here tonight, it is overshadowed by our overwhelming sense of duty. Last night, the New Polar Order decided to make a Declaration of War against our allies in the Global Order of Darkness. Supported by ex post facto rationale and coming only a short number of days after Polaris's withdrawal from the conflict, it should come as no surprise that Virdians view this reentry upon one of our closest allies with an extreme sense of ire. This decision made by Polaris, while we have no doubt it was difficult, is ultimately a regrettable one. First, because we must bring war to their already weary nations, and second because we hold no animosity towards Polaris as an alliance, yet the deciding fact remains that they declared war on one of our closest allies and it is our duty now to step in. Whatever the wider intent of Polaris's actions may have been, we hold that their decision to engage GOD was poor one, wholly unbecoming due to its ex post facto nature, and therefore this must now be one of the consequences. Understand, while there may not be hate or animosity, we will manifest our sense of duty with all the strength and zeal we can muster. In defense of our ally, the Viridian Entente hereby declares war on the New Polar Order.
