Silhouette
Through length private talks, our two governments have hammered out an agreement, wherein New South Wales shall take over administration of the following lands as a military facility. The facility will serve as a home away from home for a small number of soldiers, sailors, and airmen posted there. We feel that the sum for which we purchased the land, as well as the large influx of personnel, will have nothing but a beneficial effect on the surrounding area. As the basic needs of these men and women still need to be met, we are certain that a solid economic sector will flourish once suitable habitations and services are in place. Along with this purchase, we give Marscurian Pakistan our pledge of Non-aggresion against their nation, and our promise to defend their land as if it were our own, in the spirit of the agreement we reached today. Already, construction vehicles and personnel are en-route, to lay the cornerstone of a great friendship.

Shadowsage
Perhaps Scotland should intervene. Obviously this is colonialism.

KaiserMelech Mikhail
We wish New South Wales well, and we know Ormara is in good hands. Remember, if you ever need to talk, we're right next door.
king of cochin
The Kingdom of Cochin congratulates New South Wales and Marscurian Pakistan on this agreement. If New South Wales requires any assistance in the region, the Kingdom would be glad to assist. After all we now have common friends.

Silhouette
Two weeks after the purchase, the first ships began to arrive. The landing platform Paladin had been loaded with a full battalion from the Corps of Engineers, as well as several heavy construction vehicles. Two tenders carried construction supplies and consumables. For the next year or so, they, and the hundreds of others who would be arriving all the time, would be working around the clock under the supervision of halogen floodlights. The first task was the habitation blocks, which would be followed immediately by a heavy duty runway. It was expected that these two projects alone would take upwards of three months, even with hundreds of hands set to work on each.
Silhouette
*semi classified* In the next two weeks more manpower than was ever expected was showing up, in a rush to get the basic infrastructure up and running. Prefabricated habitation blocks were being arranged, and there was now nearly enough shelter for 5,000 men and women, basic plumbing, and an enormous mess facility. The earthworks for the runway were well underway. There was also a plan flying around to ship over a small nuclear reactor to provide power for the base, and any surrounding townships should the Marscurian government wish it. It had also been noted that the infrastructure system in the country needed some improvement, and someone would be sent to inquire within the next week. The deadline was still set for the end of the year for the first stage of construction, and another year after that for the secondary facilities, and at the moment, the chance of meeting those deadlines seemed very good to the on-site commander.
