It was something deep within the hearts of all Australian people, deeply rooted in the minds and hopes of the Promised Landers, whilst the Hanseatics saw it as a bastion of hope against the darkness that encircled the world and for a world that was ever plunged into chaos, it was the ray of light that shown from the clouds above and yet, it too was in darkness. The Catholic Church for all its intensive purposes was weak, in the past years there had been series of popes, antipopes, and other religious claiming the power that the Church held in Rome. This could be seen in Jerusalem, in Rome, and in Tahoe as well. However for the Hanseatic population and for Australia especially, nothing seemed more to them then this apparent cut off from the realm of the religious and the people yearned for change. They desired a true Church again, Rome was far too corrupt and there had not been a true pope that didn't seem like a puppet in years. These conditions had laid the ground work for an even greater change to take place as people looked to the sky for a sign, and slowly, pulled themselves away from the constraints of Rome to form their own destiny. A destiny that may perhaps, once again unite the Christian world under a single shimmering cross.

The night was dark, yet the stars seemed incredibly bright in the sky as the three priests, one aged, who's hair had fallen out and his eyes held the wisdom of generations past. One was young, his black hair combed back, water still glistening on the strands, his eyes cold, an icy blue, jaded against the world. The last was female, her golden hair a mixture of blonde and brown, hung low to her back, in swooping curls, whilst a pair of bifocals rested gently on her young and pointed nose. They knew why they were there, the population had been speaking out for his move all across the Queendom, the independence of the Catholic population from Rome and from the other anti-popes and religious figures representing Christianity. They wholly disagreed with what the world had done to Christianity as a focal point of hope, of peace, and of power.

"You both have made sure the dioceses are in line with the reforms that have been proposed." Said the Aged Priest.

"While Promised Land has shone some faith in the workings with the recent Papal figures, the recent absent of any such leader has caused great concern to all members of the parishes, Brother Gerald."

Gerald nodded and the young priest. "Very good William and I have already received word in Darwin and Adelaide that the people have begun to push for reform." He turned to the woman. "Sister Eliisa?"

Eliisa chuckled and took off her bifocals, setting them on the table. She was the outcast of the table, a woman of the Church, nearly unheard off across the world, except for the Hanseatic Commonwealth. Liberalism of all kinds had seeped its way into the government, into the society, and most definitely into the religious hierarchy. Eliisa Malikin had risen through the ranks of the Hanseatic Church since a young adult, as a nun, and then as Tintagyl's regime had concentrated more on the religious network with the fall of Rome to the Fascists, she had gained the momentum to rise through the Church. Preaching the Word of God to the loyal Hanseatic population, while watching in anguish as the elder leaders of the traditional church passed before her. The most progressive, she had made a name for herself, much as Bishop Gerald Long had done, and Bishop William Lindquist. These three now held the reins to the progressive movement of the Church in Australia and had finally garnered enough support from the general population, as well as the monarchy to move for separation.

"What did you expect Brother? That the Finnish and Welsh would desire to hold a Church that has no father? No, the people desire a responsible Church again, a Church that will protect their faith and let it grow. We have long been the supporter of a separatist movement and while it pains us to do so to leave the Holy Mother Church in Rome behind. Like Mother Europa before her, she to has paid no real attention to her children beside demand their support for wars against the anti-popes. No, Brisbane is all too ready to accomplish this."

"Then I believe we have come to an accord." Said Gerald pushing his seat out from under him. "United we will make Holy Mother Church strong again. Perhaps not in Rome. Perhaps not in Europe, but again, it will offer the shimmer of light to the people of Australia."

Eliisa reached for her glasses and rested them on her face again, she stared out towards the window of Darwin Cathedral, the stars twinkling in front of William and Gerald. "The Vatican restored." She said to herself. "Perhaps there is hope in the night."

---

As the sun rose on Darwin, a great throng had gathered in the central square, Lillia Palace overlooking the congregation, while Hannah, Anthony, and the other members of her government stared out over the congregation. Near the center of the ground, at the gates of the palace, standing above the crowd, Gerald, William, and Eliisa stood in their red robes as bishops of the new Australian Catholic Church. Stepping to the front, Gerald rose his hands in the air in a gesture for the silence of the crowd and their voices came to a whisper as he began.

"Brothers and sisters of Australia. Today, we begin the path to God's Grace once again. Slowly our Christian family will begin to walk the path that has been so long forgotten by the leadership of the Christian community. For too long our Christian community has been stranded between the seams of Fascist puppets and the constant battle of popes and anti-popes for power over the Christian community. Today brothers and sisters that ends. Today, the Christian community of Australia seeks a world of solace away from the infighting of other communities around the world. Here and now, we pledge to honor the words of Christ, to follow a path of faith and good works to his fellow man. However to do this, we must first separate ourselves from the overgrowth of the vines around Holy Mother Church. Today, brothers and sisters, we begin our journey as one united Church, a Holy Church, an Australian Church."

A thunderous echoing of bells sounded from the cathedrals around the city and the people cheered. The Queen and her Entourage nodded in agreement with the continuing stride of the Christian community, while Gerald and William applauded with the congregation. Eliisa, did so as well, smiling as she did, truly this was a monumental occasion and something that had been a dream of many people in Australia, to finally come true.

President Roe immediatly spits out his beer as he watches the early morning news reports from his office. He calls in Mob Barely, who proceeds to what can only be described as ROFLing while light a strange looking cigarette.

"We desperately hope that this offshoot of Christianity is much more tolerant than other regimes. Molakians already have a strong distrust of the religion, being classified as Pagan and all."

"This is merely a natural result of having a largely Christian population. Did the Hansa, or Promised Land, ever call anyone down due to religious reasons? The people here would not stand for such intolerance even in the unlikely event the current leaders possessed it."

OOC: Is it like the Roman Catholic Church or is it like a Protesant Church? I will edit the post depending on the answer.

IC: The Yuke Provisional Government supports the Australian Catholic Church, and is welcome to practice the religion in Yuktobania

OOC: Trying to reach like the Catholic Church, but probably at the moment its more like the Anglican Church.

IC: "Our thanks to the Yuktobanian congregation. We hope that the spreading of Christianity will go unhindered by the near constant strife that has taken over the Church as of late. We hope to walk with Yuktobania hand in hand and if the country so desires, missionaries can be sent and Churches can be set up in your nation for the faithful."

-Bishop Eliisa Malikin

"The council and people of Nova Sol Terra congratulate Australia on the formation of a non corrupt church. We have seen many examples of men using the church as an excuse to gain wealth, land or power and we hope that the Australian church will refrain from allowing this to happen to themselves".

"We will attempt to bring the Church back to its glory days, days of jubilation, strength, and good will to men. Our hopes are that Nova Sol Terra walks this path with us. The faithful of Christendom deserve better than what has been given to them, our hopes are that we together with Christian communities around the world can finally achieve worship in peace and solace."

-Bishop Eliisa Malikin

"Despite the fact that there are many communities of Christians around the world, these decide to distance themselves from their 'brethren' and make their own Church. Despite a Catholic Church that is years past the old bickering that once divided the Catholics, these people decide to instead of devoting their faith to God set up their own little clique. Making another division and then calling for unity is disgusting. Insulting other churches as you do it is even more so."

"No one is insulting anyone here; it is an undisputable fact that the Church has no set leader here on Earth, unless there was a Papal Conclave that I did not hear of. Please calm yourself, as we are still all brothers and sisters in Christ."

~Bishop Gerald Long

OOC: Rushes to reroll as Catholic Church.

IC: "We reccognize the Australian Catholic Church as a religion. It will be free to practice in Texas."

"We welcome our brothers and sisters in the Australian Catholic Church! The Church is welcome to establish itself in New England, as it is an overwhelmingly Catholic nation."

"We certainly appreciate the kind and gracious sentiments expressed. My thanks on behalf of my fellow worshipers here."

"We await Tahoe's entourage, perhaps during this time we might also talk about improving relations between our countries not only on a religious level but on a secular level as well. I implore, to said not only your religious, but a political leader to meet with Her Highness so that we can begin repairing the relations between North America and Oceania as they have been strained in the past."

"As long as it does not affect the Australian's government policy, we have no problem with the church."

"Rest assured that such influence would violate the spirit of this undertaking, and would be something the people of this nation would not stand for."

The quarter of Arcticans who practice Catholicism rejoice at the creation of an apparently 'real' Church, free of any political goals or crazy leaders. They are still waiting for a similar Church to recreate itself in Arctica.

The Catholic Church of Arctica, leaderless after the arrest of former cardinal, Gino Moretti, has been in tatters since November 2009 as agents of the Bureau of Internal Investigation ransacked Church offices and arrested priests, searching for accomplices of Moretti and hoping to uncover major crime syndicates by a thorough investigation of Moretti's 40-year-long history of dealings with organized crime, including the 2009 attempt on Pope John Paul III's life in cooperation with the international terrorist organization Green Flag.

"If possible, Arctica and Australia are not far off neighbors and if the Arctican Chruch lays in tatters, our religious would be happy to repair the faith in Catholicism in Arctica. For too long the Catholic community of the world has sat silent to the workings of abysmal leaders that have no desire but to further their own agendas. Together we can forget deep agendas and focus on one thing and that is the restoration of the Catholic faith around the world and preventing the tattering of Churches such as what has happened to Arctica from ever occurring again. Working together in cooperation with the Arctican faithful we hope that the rifts and the instability of Holy Mother Church will finally come to an end."

President O'Deaghaidh has sent an official Cabinet delegation consisting of the Minister for Religious Affairs, Archbishop Patrick Wood; and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Darragh McDonnell to Australia to discuss religious and civil affairs. They will meet with the Australian Government at their convenience

While we respect and appreciate the Queendom as a valuable ally and stabilizing force on the world stage, Catholic citizens will not be allowed to settle within any more than specified zones of coastal cities where more of their ilk have already set up a life for themselves. The destabilizing influence of two or more religions cannot be tolerated; thus the only acceptable in the Empire is the Ecclesiarchy's well-established Imperial Cult.

"While greater Pacifica his host to a diverse variety of spiritual practices, and maintains a great degree of spiritual tolerance, we do not permit established churches as a matter of governmental policy. Australian Catholics will of course be permitted to interact with Pacifican Society, however organized missionaries, and recruitment campaigns are asked to respect the laws of our nation. We hope this will not be an issue." - Thomas Devereaux, High Magistrate

OOC: See Sarah's latest Proclamation.

IC: Security would be tight when they arrived. There was still a lot of mistrust when it came to Tahoans, this could very easily be a chance to mend relations, and no chances were being taken here.

OOC: So...the meeting in this thread, or another one? Doesn't matter to me.

Molakia wishes to inform the Queendom that due to previous religious strife with christians, we must inform you that any missionaries or the like are barred from entering our lands until such time we can agree that this branch is not a threat to stability in the nation. A civil war was almost started last time a Christian group was given a voice here.
