Markus Wilding
"Comrade Vasily." "Da." "We have him ready. Do you want to ship him out or wait?" "Ship him out. We need to know this technology." "Da, Comrade Vasily." --- Alexi Orthaber was then taken from his home by Soviet forces, put on a boat and said boat begans sailing towards the Federal Union of Belarus and Moldova. He is so far the only member of the Soviet Russian KGB. His mission is to secure a nuclear weapon from the Union and transport it back to Soviet Russia. It is not known how sucessful this operation will be.
Markus Wilding
In about two weeks, the ship finally arrives in a Belarus port. Alexi quickly steps out and begins looking for a hotel or any other place to stay. He has approx. 5,000 rubles with him to use at his will and a Makarov PM pistol hidden in his suitcase. He quikly finds out there's a shuttle and waits for it to arrive.
comrade nikonov
Arriving in Ventspils, Alexei would most likely choose the Ventspils Inn and Suites, famed for their bargain hospitality and windowside view of the United Slavic Naval Base and shipyards, home to the fleet of the Federal Union of Belarus and Moldova as well as 4 nuclear weapons that are carried on various aircraft when deployed by sea. Markus Wilding
Aexi checked in quickly and began surveying the port - not a lot of security, by the looks of it, but it would still be hard to get in. Maybe if he bribed a guard or two, he'd be able to get in...He waited for one of the guards to take either a smoke break or to leave, whichever came first. comrade nikonov
One of the guards got up to get a bottle of Vodka from the canteen. While walking outside, he spots something suspicious. A glare from a bush. "Hrmm.. Bushes aren't shiny!" He thought. Deciding to investigate further, he approaches the spies position. Need a Twix moment? Need a Twix moment? "Lost a contact lens..." Alexi muttered, then promptly picked up the invisible contact, stood up and held out a hand. "Hello, I have 1,500 rubles I can hand to you if you allow me to access the port behind you."
comrade nikonov
"What the $%&@ is this? Oh wait? Is that money? and what did you want again? Never mind. I don't care. 1500 rubles is enough for 500 bottles of Stolichnaya. Here. Take my security pass as well. I'm going to PAR-TAY!"
Markus Wilding
"That was deceptively easy..." thought Alexi as he casually walked to the port gate. "Coming through, nothing to see here." He quickly flashed the security ard as he passes the gate.
comrade nikonov
The steel gate automatically opens in the presence of the ID. Even though the guard has little security clearance, the nuclear weapons in the naval base are kept under minimal security as no one really envisioned that someone can break into a naval base. Markus Wilding
Alexi sneaks around the dock, trying to look perfectly normal as he attempts t ofind the nuclear weapons. Finding them is one thing, taking them back to Soviet Russia is another. Perhaps if there was a sign that said "NUCLEAR WEAPONS! - STAY BACK" he'd be inclined to look wherever the sign was posted. comrade nikonov
Conveniently, there's a bunker with a large trifoil in the front, along with the sign "Caution-Radiation" 10 ft in front of it. By the doorstep of a bunker hunches a soldier, sleeping. On closer examination, the soldier's face is covered in sores- the sign of radiation illness, and he's no longer breathing, has no pulse, and has a body temperature of 52 Fahrenheit. EDIT: OOC: He's not sleeping, he's dead. Edited January 6, 2010 by comrade nikonov
Markus Wilding
"Oh boy..." If Alexi had his doubts about this mission before, he certainly had them now. He looked around for a radiation suit, found one, put it on and entered the bunker. He thought there was somebody watching, but at this moment he didn't care. comrade nikonov
No one saw, until Alexi knocked over some container in the dark bunker. The loud clang set off a noise alarm, and soon, the entire base's eyes was on the one entrance that the bunker had. Since no one really wanted to go in the bunker that was leaking radiation, the guards just suited up, took up their An-94 assault rifles, and waited outside. Markus Wilding
Alexi spat out some choice words in Russian and decided that either way he was dead. He ripped the suit off, took out his akarov and ran out, blindly firing at anything he saw.
comrade nikonov
The gun enthusiast that he was, him aim wasn't all that bad. A few guards were struck on their armor, but only 1 was fatally shot, in the place where armor would do no good: the groin. The rest of the guards, finally seeing action after being deployed to a sleepy Latvian town, took this opportunity to use their weekly 15 hours of range training and promptly saw to it that Alexi got his daily supply of lead: for pathetic remainder of his life. The guards, approaching his macerated body through which 36 high caliber rounds had ripped through and apart, found a few earthly belongings, including an identification card written in an old dialect of Russian (which only Soviet Russia still used), a picture of a rather nubile woman and a baby, and a medal commemorating bravery to the Order of the Soviets. It was concluded that that the intruder was a Soviet Russian. A message was sent Classified, Encrypted 31b TO: Government of Soviet Russia From: Defense Ministry of the Federal Union of Belarus and Moldova Subject: URGENT BREACH MESSAGE: Government, we have received information from Ventspils that a Soviet Russian spy, disguised as a traveler, somehow bribed his way into the Naval Base of Ventspils, and attempted to illegally procure (steal) a nuclear device from our secure (OOC: lolsecure) bunkers. After he exposed himself to security, he opened automatic rifle fire upon the guards, killing one and injuring many. He received, and died of, returned fire. Please explain yourselves. comrade nikonov
***Classified*** The dispatched flotilla has returned to the Southern Ocean, just as it has done for New Years'. ***Private Message to Soviet Russia*** Surrender those responsible now or face systematic destruction of your government. The Soviet people, Slavic in ethnicity, do not deserve to be under such draconian government. Markus Wilding
*Response* Soviet Russia is not scared by your threats. If anything we're amused by them. Go ahead and attack us, see what will happen.
comrade nikonov
***Response*** Do understand your actions were an act of war against the Federal Union of Belarus and Moldova. You have one more chance to agree to at least negotiate. We do not want to devolve into conflict.
Markus Wilding
***Response*** Do realize we laugh in the face of this silly "threat". We'd love to see what your cheap vodka-swilling soldiers can do to us.
comrade nikonov
***Response*** If that is so we wish to see how far Soviet Russia is willing to go. Might as well... *cough* declare war on us, considering your past action was already an act of war for which you refuse to account for. Markus Wilding
***Response*** So be it. A state of war now exists between Soviet Russia and Belarus.
comrade nikonov
***Response*** You've declared on the Union Republic of Belarus? So thus the Federal Union of Belarus and Moldova is at a state of war with Soviet Russia. //Classified// The flotilla, nearing the Southern Ocean, has launched stealth UCAVs and MiG-1.44s in Operation Flash Blizzard, in which a heavy bombardment by 54 aircraft and 96 UCAVs are initiated against strategic targets such as bunkers, radar sites, SAM sites, defense emplacements, and barracks.
