Procinctia’s pavilion consists of displays from the Procinctian Foreign Office, Procinctia Broadcasting Corporation, and Procinctia Publishing Press.

An export Procinctia Sedan Combat Technical (courtesy of Procinctia’s armed forces) and vintage Procinctian Super Sabre (from Colonel Keating’s military museum in Cape Town, who’s collection vastly exceeds Procinctia’s armament) are also on display.

Bystanders have also set up an unofficial Generalissimo memorial/shrine/tribute adjacent to Procinctia’s pavilion.

Procinctia’s pavilion is manned by ‘volunteering’ volunteer militia officers and Minster of Foreign Affairs/acting Ambassador to Transvaal Liska Atka.

The Procinctia Broadcasting Corporation is distributing Procinctia Broadcasting Corporation frequency 103.9 content on 8-track, compact cassette, compact disc, DVD, Blu-ray.

Audio archives of Aleut Reggae, Bunker5 comedy hour, BunkerTalk with Lt. Arantes, Caribbean light jazz, Cooking with Generalissimo, Good Morning Procinctia, Generalissimo’ Book Club, Morning Talk, PBC News, Procinctia Public Access, and the Saint Paul City Wasteland Guide are all currently available, and Rayne Ryanor Slavorussian Agent: The Pretoria Ultimatum.

The Procinctia Publishing Press is handing out free signed copies of Generalissimo’s book Generalissimo’s Saint Paul City Wasteland Survival Guide to anyone and everyone who stopped by.

Since Transvaal had insisted that there be two, seperate pavilions from Australia, some of the information contained in these pavilions would overlap.

Actually, the fair organisers (chaired by Minister Hofmeyr) decided to ignore the stipulation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. That was why they placed the two pavilons in adjacent exhibition halls. While the separate entrances have the "official" names of the 'separate pavilons', the separation wall has been removed and what you have in fact is one large building with two separate entrances. It may seem confusing to some, but helps avoid unnecessary duplication of exhibits.

When Staatspresident Botha visits, he spends most of his time looking at the animal exhibits - mostly because Mrs. Botha is with him and she has a particular and keen interest in Australian animals, especially reptiles, having lived there at one time (OOC: RL Mrs. Botha lived in Sydney for 6 months)

A person entering the Cochin Pavilion...

Staatspresident Botha and his entourage enter. The Staatspresident seems to be mostly interested in the Larsen & Toubro displays. The railroad interests him the most, asking the personal such questions as "Is the Trans Himalayan a steam system or diesel-electric system? How did you manage to deal with rail slope gradiants through the mountains? Is there a lot of tunnels used?"

Meanwhile, the two-dozen military personal in attendance with the presidential group split off and examine the various military displays and models of hardware.

In particular, attention is focused on the 'socialist' aircraft such as the Mig-29 and Su-30. Some of the officers take notes and snap photographs. While most of the airforce officers examine the aircraft, those in the Krygsmagte spend most of their time at MetalStorm display.

Anyone overhearing the military officers would get the idea that they are interested in the Cochinese equipment in the contingency if any of it ever gets into the hands of Transvaal's enemies and it is used against the Republic.

Aware of the shrine to Generalissimo, Staatspresident Botha makes sure to bring some flowers cut from his garden to leave with the rest of the bric-brac tributes piling up and obstructing the entrance to the pavilion.

A group photograph is taken in front of the Super Sabre. Flight Commander Leonard Wise exclaims afterwards, "I can remember going up against these when we fought Procinctia many years ago, in it's day it was a very worthy opponent for our P-51 Mustangs and the terror of our B-17 crews"

In the following days, the Procinctian pavilion becomes one of the most popular with the under-35 crowd, mostly due to the quality of music entertainment available - which easily puts Transvaal's regular boring, droll broadcasting to shame. A sizable trade in bootlegged tape cassettes (CDs are still a luxury item) is established between Procinctian staff out to make a quick rand at the expense of entertainment-starved Transvalers.

While Staatspresident Botha looks agast at the Castro hats in digust of its 'cheap, tardy marxist pop style design', when no one is looking he quietly purchases one of the bobbleheads. "This will make a nice paperweight in my office in Pretoria..."

Then he decides, "No, excuse me, I'll take two please..." - with the thinking he will give the other one to Prime Minister van Matteus and order her to put it on her desk whenever she meets with foreigners. 'The ice queen needs to lighten up sometimes', he thinks to himself.

To the Staatspresident's question a senior executive of L&T replied," Sir, the Trans Himalayan Railway is a fully electrified system. We use a customized Rack and pinion system based on Rickenbach system to tackle the steep gradients. We have a lot of tunnel systems and elevated tracks to compensate for the mountainous terrain. Special care had been taken so that construction and operation does not affect the natural eco system of the terrain."

"Interesting, does it use a dual track line or one line shared between trains going both directions?"

"Interesting, does it use a dual track line or one line shared between trains going both directions?"

It uses a dual track line. There are two racks of rails and two lanes of roadways on either side of the rails, a design which would evenly balance out the weight of the system. These sections are mostly on elevated platforms supported by pillars made of concrete which does not lose its strength in the Himalayan Tundra. The two tracked rail line is now proving its merit conveying materials from Cochin to assist in the Dragonisian relief effort.

"Despite its obvious advantages, that must have been most difficult and costly to tunnel. Thankfully our terrain, while troublesome at times for railroads - such as for trains leaving Cape Town heading eastwards into the Great Karoo - is nowhere near insurmountable an obstacle as what your people must have faced in the Himalayas. What was the approximate cost of the project?"

"Yes it was an extremely costly project but it was definitely worth the cost. The challenges were quite great, and the work was not without its irreplaceable costs too. Several of our employees had succombed to the extreme weather conditions there. But now Himalayas have been conquered and there is easy access from North and South of the Himalayas. The total cost of the project was 50 Billion Cochin Rupees. You must of course realize that this was a joint project between L&T and the Corps of Engineers of Royal Cochin Defense Forces. We both had our own expertises to share for execution of such a masive project."

"That is very interesting, I have never thought of involving our albeit small military engineer corps into our major infrastructure projects. I will have to keep that in mind for the future. Should Transvaal ever look at upgrading our existing track lines, would it be possible to contact and ultimately contract your people for similar work here in Transvaal? The biggest hurdle we would envisage is electrification of our rail network should steam locomotive prove too costly. We have invested a lot of research and funds into maintaining our steam network and making it as modern and environmentally sound as possible. Operating steam locomotives is rather cheap for us in Southern Africa and we have been able to construct our primary locomotive model, the Red Devil, to be as environmentally feasable as diesel-electrics."

Larsen and Toubro would be very much honored to execute projects in Transvaal. We have consultation contracts with the Ministry of Transportation in the Kingdom of Cochin. Electrification of railway lines in Transvaal would be a job that we would feel very much competent to execute. The Cochin Railway Network is a completely electrified network as a large scale effort initiated several years ago to cut down on fossil fuel usage. The Kingdom depends on nuclear fission, fusion, Hydro electric and SPS for its electrical needs, a policy which was expensive during the initial stages has proved economical over time due to the notable decreases in pollution.

L&T could act as an arbiter if Transvaal is interested in observing the Cochin Railway Network and if Transvaal wishes to purchase Railway engines from Cochin. Tatra Automotive Works which has a stall in this Pavilion is our principal manufacturer of rail engines. We could assist you in coordinating with TAW and Ministry of Transportation.

Among the reptile exhibits, several examples of snakes were displayed, carefully behind glass containers. Australia had another particular distinction when it came to these reptiles...of the indigenous snake species, the poisonous ones outnumbered those that were not.

Mrs. Botha asked one of the workers at the booth "...if there were any platypus on exhibit?"

OOC: platypus = beaver + frankenstein

Mrs. Botha asked one of the workers at the booth "...if there were any platypus on exhibit?"

OOC: platypus = beaver + frankenstein

OOC: Ha hah, apt description. :lol1:

IC: "Why certainly, Ma'am. Two booths down." He pointed to his left.

In the packet of information at that booth, it would explain that upon its first discovery, many prominent scientists of the day had thought that this animal could be nothing but a hoax, until they saw the living creature with their own eyes.
