The Trojan War

Okay, so here is the idea. This story is set during the Trojan War, and we all play characters living in Troy. This is mainly a story for fun and excitement, but if you want to integrate this story into your nation's history (I'm planning on doing this ), that will work too. The basic story will be the same, and the major characters (Achilles, Hector, Paris, etc) will all still be here. You can insert your character where you want them to be. Will they fight on horseback alongside Hector? Will they fire arrows from the walls of Troy? Will they remain in their homes and home their husband/brother/son returns home that night. It's your choice! The story will extend after the fall of Troy, as all our characters will escape the Greeks through the tunnel out of the city. To sign up, post your character here. For simplicity's sake, please only do one character. If you are planning on having a character die in the war, then two is acceptable to have the story go on after the sacking of the city.

After much thought and consideration, you can be a Greek if you want. Please try to either balance the Greek/Trojan ratio, or have more Trojans, as this thread is as much as our stories after the war as it is during the war.

A daughter of a local holyman, Ivanna defends her home for her father, who is sick. She is a good swordsmen, but an even better Archer.

Background Information: "X" was once a slave who was freed when he fought his way to freedom. Was called X when it was what he scratched into a tablet that required a name. Good fighter.

Background Information: Son of a peron high in the aristocracy, can be seen shouting nonsense about the fall of Troy, but no one really cares.

Name: Mika'el ben Yonatan

Age: 21

Occupation: Cavalry

Brief Physical Discription: Mika'el is an average Israelite. At a little over 3 cubits (around 5'6") he is average hight for the time. Skilled at the art of riding both camels and horses, he has developed amazing stability and the ability to throw a spear almost 20 yards from a galloping horse with amazing accuracy. The years in the sun have made his skin dark, and he keeps a deep tan even through the winter months. With deep black hair, he always wears a headdress to keep the sun from overheating his head. His eyes are a deep brown, and give an imposing look in the morning and evenings, where they look almost black. A strong man, Mika'el can hold his own in any battle. He proudly serves alongside Hector in the defense of Troy.

Background Information: In the Israelite scouting of the land of Canaan, Mika'el and his brother, Shimon, were sent north, beyond the Galilee, to see what people lay before them. Passing through the land, they reached the Hittites, where they heard stories of a city with walls so grand, they must have been built by gods. Upon reaching mighty Troy, Mika'el decieded that it would be best for the brothers to scout the city. The plans take a turn, as Mika'el falls in love with a Trojan woman, Andrones. After the marriage and the birth of their son, Mika'el realizes that Troy is his new home. With that, Mika'el buys land outside the city to farm horses. As he does, he petitions for the right to join the Trojan army. Originally wary of this foreigner who not only did not believe in the Greek panthion, but spouted how there was only one god, Glaucus turned him down. However, after challanging and defeated Glaucus in a spear throwing competition, Mika'el was given the right to fight for Troy. With his steed Judah, Mika'el is always at the side of Prince Hector

Name: Shimon ben Yonatan

Age: 17

Occupation: Infantry

Brief Physical Discription: Shimon is the younger brother of Mika'el. He is a taller man, at over 3 cubits (around 6 feet), he is taller than most Israelites. He is also less muscular than his brother, and has not yet gained the ability to grow a beard. Being in the infantry, Shimon had always held his wicker shield above his head, giving his skin a fairer look. His hair is straighter and a light brown, while his eyes are green. He is formitable with a sword, but his main weapon is the shield and spear. An average horseback rider, Shimon never made it to the cavalry, but has more endurance than his brother due to his constant walking. He serves in the infantry of Troy, and has plentry of strength to drive a spear through any Greek

Background Information: Along with his older brother, Shimon was sent to scout to tribes to the North. After entering the territory of the Hittites, he is constantly pushed on by Mika'el until the reach the city of Troy. Barely a man, and will little experience dealing with foreigners, Shimon had to wait for Mika'el to get them situated in the city. After two months inside Troy, Mika'el wanted to leave the city, however, Shimon urged him to stay. Falsely saying that he had heard news of Troy's intent to destroy the Israelites, he actually intended to court a young woman he had met. However, she died of plague when the two just started courting, but Mika'el had already started his farm and family when Shimon petitioned to leave. Shimon decided to take a place on his brother's farm, and also petitioned to join the infantry of the Trojan army. Since Mika'el had proved their loyalty to the city, Shimon was let in. He now serves as the first line of defense for the city of Troy.

Brief Physical Discription: Tall and well built but not fat, she has the look and feel of a warrior regardless of the fact that she is a woman. She still has a beautiful face and can charm a man when needed.

Background Information: Grew up with a love for war and horses and defied her father and the other men to becoem a soldier and managed to impress them enough for them to offer her a place as a cavalryman.

Background Information: Antigonos was born in the Greek city of Corinth. His father, a wealthy noble, had wished him to enter the political scene. Antigonos, however, preferred to fight, and enlisted as a soldier of the Corinthian army at the age of 16. Numerous campaigns against the other cities over the last six years have left him a battle-hardened veteran, and he eagerly awaits the opportunity to attack Troy.

Occupation: Trojan Infantry

Brief Physical Description: Well built, but agile. Short cut brown hair, tan skin, and green eyes.

Background Information: Dionysios was originally a farmer, but dreams of heroism led him to join the Trojan army. He became skilled in the use of bow, sword, and spear, and has taught himself to use anything, from shield to brick, as a weapon.
