Prime Minister Roger Smith is quoted as saying "The Canadian government is engaging in very unhealthy agressive behavior and I will not let Blue Heaven be threatened in any way, shape, or form, by a potential enemy that is so close to us." One member of Parliament, Traditionalist John Hughes, said "The 'empire' of Canada is seriously taking some risky behavior with reinstituting the DMZ. Their government seems to be [i]quite[/i] inept at prioritizing thiings. They are overly militarizing a small border when those soldiers should be out in the streets in HAZMAT suits, restoring law and order to nearby places where the nuclear weapons detonated that are still standing and be trying to help the civilians instead of trying to start a war with us." [b]Private[/b] Parliament voted yes on taking a hard-liner stance when it comes to dealing with the Canadian Empire. Also a HAVOC airborne platoon is being put on level two alert status. Minister of Defense Colin Powell backed the Prime Minister up saying "The Emperor needs to seriously calm down his rhetoric as it can make people start having thoughts about the future relationship between the Empire and Blue Heaven and I seriously doubt that those thoughts would be of friendliness and kindness." The commision of a national air force is currently being debated by Parliament. The Prime Minister herself has met with members of all parties and is pushing the idea of a national air force as a good way to protect the nation from enemies like the Imperium of Canada and to help protect our allies. This treaty allows the government of Canada, seeing the long cultural and historical ties with the Nunavut region, has ceded the region and turned it into a joint protectorate with the Imperium. Riot soldiers have been called out in large numbers and there are some rumors that the military may be called out. In other news, the Prime Minister announced that the government would be sending $10 billion in aid to the nation of Louisiana to help them recover from their war with Tahoe. The aid shall be given in increments over the next 5 years. There is talk that some of the military will be deployed to Louisiana for joint training exercises. Also the provinces of Shugo, Mirelle and Okau declared independence today and formed the Hakaarian Empire. Prime Minister Lila Nevak issued a statement saying "The provinces that now form the Hakaarian Empire have been wanting independence ever since the Cold War with the Imperium of Canada, thus, when we saw the formation of a stable government, Parliament voted for indepedence and, after much debate in a Cabinet meeting, we also came to the conclusion that independendce would be good for the people of our fomer provinces." There have been some worries about the military bases there, but the Minister of Defense, Daisy Kins issued a statement saying that the new government had been contacted and the military bases would stay in place. [b]Private [/b]Architects are going to be sent to the HE within the next two days. They are all to be Operators from Department 5600, their mission will be to gain information on the current political, economic, military and foreign policy situation in the HE. In an effort to increase military readiness in case of an unexpected attack on the nation, the Ministry of Defense has decided to have at least one brigade from all active infantry divisions ready to strike 24/7, it will be on a rotational basis with one brigade doing 6 hours before another brigade relieves them. This will also apply to the Air Force. Three active squadrons will be doing AWACS for 6 hours, being refueled by 3 of our total 20 KC-135 Stratotankers, before three other squadrons relieve them. However, the main concern right now is that the fire is growing and may soon go into the National Forest which is located only about 1.5 miles from June. Currently firefighters from all over the province are battling the flames and firefighters from other provinces are coming in to help out and also build blockades so that the fire will not expand to the National Forest. In other news, Minister of the Interior, Jack Wally, has announced that Blue Heaven's first nuclear power plant will be built in Blue Moon Province, construction is expected to begin by the end of the week. kitex Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 3, 2010 [b]Public [/b]Yesterday, neighboring GLP invaded us, citing insulting emails that were sent to them by our government, this is flimsy evidence, to say the least. The fact that their government is that babyish, immature, ignorant and ready to use force at even the slightest provocations shows that they are not fit to lead. The GLP invaded Morrigan Province yesterday and were met by the 3rd Airborne Division. GLP forces also went 20 miles northwest to the city of Cobalt and met the 2nd Light Infantry Division. During the fighting a blizzard occured in the southeast portions of the nation and helped ot impede the GLP from continuing to fight. Our soldiers then made a counter attack and, according to a release from the Ministry of Defense, are currently mopping up enemy resistance. Still, this situation has left those in the government questioning Prime Minister Lila Nevak as to why she did not invoke any of the defense clauses Blue Heaven has with its allies. The consignment was delivered by a flotilla of 2 Auxiliary Support Fleet Army Container Ships escorted by a Cruiser of Royal Cochin Navy.
