Also Heaven's Skyscraper has been completed and currently an extension to the Ministry of Defense's main building is being constructed. In the economy, Crude Inc. announced that it expects to start extracting oil by the end of this week. Also Zee Inc. announced plans to expand to the newly formed nation of New Eden, stating that their main purpose will be to provide the people of New Eden with computers and internet access. In other news, in Starwind province, local law enforcement, led by SWAT teams, conducted a raid in the town of Ouaka againist a heroin drug lord. Today, the government just finished its end of the year census and found that Blue Heaven now has 24 million people! In economic news today, the Blue Heaven Stock Exchange (BHSE), conducted it's grand opening. Trading is expected to start within the next 24 hours! (OOC: Just bought the Stock Exchange wonder! ) Also the GDP is now $220,000,000,000, a 1.5% increase! This leaves the budget currently looking like this: Defense: $22 bilion Education: $55 billion Infrastructure: $22 billion Healthcare: $24.2 billion Transportation: $13.2 billion Manufacturing: $26.4 billion Retail Trade: $11 billion Mining: $26.4 billion Treasury: $13.2 billion Debt: $19.8 billion Current amount of money in the treasury: $3 billion In other news, military recruiting has gone quite well over the past few weeks. Today, the 8th and 9th Infantry Divisions were officially commissioned. So our military currently has 180,000 servicemen and women in it. Also the government has finished its massive infrastructure project, yet the Minstry of the Interior says that it plans to do more still! Private Operation Freedom has ended, all soldiers are returning back to their respective bases. It will be the standard doctrine for any and all future military engagements Blue Heaven might be involved in. 1.Is a vital national security interest threatened? 2.Do we have a clear attainable objective? 3.Have the risks and costs been fully and frankly analyzed? 4.Have all other non-violent policy means been fully exhausted? 5.Is there a plausible exit strategy to avoid endless entanglement? 6.Have the consequences of our action been fully considered? 7.Is the action supported by the people of Blue Heaven? 8.Do we have genuine broad international support? They should be there by the end of the week (OOC: Tomorrow). Also Prime Minister Smith annouced that he is going to send $300 million to help rebuild Dragonisia. There is talk, though, in the Defense Ministry, of reorganizing tank divisions so that there'll be 100 tanks per division. Also Crude Inc. has begun extracting oil from the 200 off shore acres that they bought from the government for a cool $800 million. They predict that once they're at full capacity, the amount of oil being extracted per day will be 500,000 barrels. Currently, Blue Heaven uses 300,000 barrels daily. The government calmed people's fears, though, by announcing that they were currently having talks with Texas and other nations to import oil from them. kitex Posted December 29, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) Today in the stock market, the Black Rose Inc. congolmerate went up 15 points and Zee Inc. went up 100 as they announced that they're now beginning to build the infrastructure in New Eden needed to provide the people with high speed internet. Crude Inc. went down 20 points as the Ministry of Foreign Relations announced that a treaty would be signed with the Commonwealth of Texas for oil. Meanwhile in Mia Province, a total of 5 fires broke out leaving 2 families homeless and 2 houses severely damaged. Also in the Ministry of Defense, today the 3rd Airborne Division was officially comissioned, also the Tank Corps has now been reorganized so that one division of tanks now consists of 100 tanks. Below is how a tank division will be structured. This has caused the Ministry of Interior to pressure Parliament into passing legislation that would ban all train conductors from even having their cell phones on while they're operating the train. In economic news, Zee Inc. has now finished constructing the infrastructure and buildings needed to give the people of New Eden internet access and will now start hiring and training at least 15,000 workers. Also Zee Inc. has started up an OS under the name of Morrill Inc and said that the final release date is slated for late April. In the music world, a new music player known as MoDecc launched today and have so far sold 50,000 MoDeccs in its first 24 hours. MoDecc claims to be better than the Tahoen Ipod as it allows you to go and listen to music, surf the web, make calls, and allows you to hook your MoDecc up to a computer and sideload their music onto your MoDecc. Finally, the Black Rose conglomerate went up 50 points, Crude Inc. dipped 20 as the Treaty of Beaumont increased the supply of oil, and Zee Inc. went up 80 points. Private In the Air Force, the Avenger anti-aircraft missiles have been assigned to 200 airmen, while the remaining 1.800 airmen will make up anti-aircraft squads that'll either be used to defend air bases during conflict or will be attached to an infantry division as an anti-aircraft company. The entire Blue Heaven Cabinet sent their deepest condolences to New Eden. Despite urging by Parliament to take military action if New Eden goes into anarchy, Minister of Defense Colin Powell has said that BH cannot legally take military action as we don't have any type of military pact with them. At minimum, a mutual defense pact would be needed for BH to take any type of military action. Private To make for more efficient and effective deployments, the military will now be organized into "armies." First Army 1-3rd Infantry 1st Airborne 1-6th Armored Second Army 4-6th Infantry 2nd Airborne 7-12th Armored Third Army 7-9th Infantry 3rd Airborne 13-18th Armored Fourth Army National Guard 1st and 2nd Mechanized 19th Armored First Army area of responsibility will be the southern border of Blue Heaven, Second Army will take care of the western border, Third Army the eastern border, and Fourth Army the northern border and all northern territories. In Blue Heaven, his presence was treated with great fanfare, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dorothy Waynewright was quoted as saying "I hope that relations between New Eden and BH will grow and prosper. Blue Heaven congratulates new Prime Minister Barney." In economic news, Zee Inc. surged 150 points to go to 10,400 after hitting a massive low of 9,800 due to the tragic deaths of the entire former New Eden government. They're currently being interrogated as to which druglord they serve. In Black Rose Province, the largest mafia group in Blue Heaven, the Northern Alliance, is suspected of the slaying of 10 people in the city of Helba, the cause being a dispute of who would sell drugs where. The Provincial police chief released a statement saying that "The NA will not get away with these murders and I've mobilized a task force to hunt down and arrest all NA members." Upon hearing this, the provinces of Inri, Okau, and Mirelle annouced that they too would form task forces to hunt down NA members and would work with the other provinces that had large numbers of NA members in their provinces to defeat the NA. In other news, the government announced that it would soon be starting another infrastructure project, nearly on scale with the one that was completed only months ago. kitex Posted January 11, 2010 Author Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 Public Late last night in the small town of Height, in Shugo Province, a house was tragically burnt down. Interesting, though, is that everyone survived due to the courage of a young woman. She was walking nearby the house and saw it caught on fire. She ran up to the house and saw that the husband and wife were alright but the wife was crying about her 9 year old son that was still trapped in the house. The young woman ran into the house and a couple minutes later came out with the child and called the police. This brave young woman wishes to remain anonomyous. Today in the early hours of the morning, Black Rose Provincial police chief, Brian Ekkman, was killed as were 5 other high-ranking police officers. It's suspected that the Northern Alliance perpertrated the crime in an effort to put fear into the nation as he and many other Provincial police chiefs were planning to form an inter-provincial task force to hunt down and destroy any and all NA mafia members.
