Whether we are agreeing or fighting this will always be true. Both Alliances have a solid foundation and outstanding membership. Lots of history between the two, which at times is a bit troublesome for newer members to grasp and try and navigate between all the personalities involved. The reality is the relationship between the two Orders took place from May of 2006 onwards and is full of minor and major events, some of which are not even agreed upon by both parties. It's a long history and we are still seeing it all play out. Some of us have spent a long time documenting everything but the fact is there is no authoritative source or chronicle. Perhaps someday there will be when parties from both alliances can tell the truth without political impact Quite true. I so love that about this game, to have produced such in game histories, so rich and complexed as they are. I suppose thats why we play it. And on top of that, its free, lol. This types of in game relations between in game subjects is really the forte of the game. Aside from some history.... Some,..Id say quite a large amount. Two years+ of treaty relations. Despite the bitterness currently, they weren't all bad. ...and some of the older members being former Pacificans there is not much in common with Pacifica and Polaris. Well there is always the acronym similarity, as the flag design. I believe there are some similarities as well sticking around, one that you arent even aware off. They are now two completely separate alliances with... Yes, Id wager to say as a peanut gallery member of the game, this is true. In, in game political terms, they are distant alliances now. They have the same founding father.... No. NPO was not founded by Ivan alone, nor was NpO. NPO was founded by 8 players (among them Ivan of course) and while Ivan is such a charismatic in game character, and as a result of that a lot is proscribed only as his doing, truth of the matter is that the idea and realization of NpO thus its founding are not Ivan alone project as one could imagine. NPO found NpO, in shortest. but they have evolved very differently since then. And now they are different in many ways like so many other former colonies are to their founding nations. Innerspeaker Posted December 2, 2009 Report Share Posted December 2, 2009 It'd probably help to look into BLEU and the WUT with regards to how the NpO and NPO tied themselves together, while also maintaining a very strongly independent relationship. The VietFAN War, UJW, and the seasons of drama that happened between them could probably provide some valuable insight as to how Polaris' and Pacifica's relationship slowly chipped away.
