OOC: I'm Scotland. Ty is Scottish. Its the Medieval period. The last chance for Scotland to stand on its own two feet. It was reigned over by England and it wants to rid its own threat before it comes back.

OOC: Fixed. That still doesn't explain Sargun's joining...to the best of my knowledge he hasn;t RP'd being significantly Catholic.

England would like to remind the nations joining Scotland because of they are Catholic that we are also mostly Catholic. We would also like to remind them that we attempted to open diplomatic channels in order to promote peace, but they rebuffed us and would not allow us to open an embassy. They are attacking with no good reason. How long until they betray Germany or [insert Ty's nation name here]! They obviously can't and shouldn't be trusted by anyone.

We would like to remind the good population of England's catholics that the Scottish border is open to any and all catholics who flee now.

The 9000 soldiers strong army had reached the castle's sight. The preparations were in order and a large chunk of the forest was cut down. Thousands of soldiers rushed out of the night's cover into the light of the castle. They flanked and surrounded the castles walls, establishing a perimeter. They enclosed the castle with a palisade that was made over night. The thousands of soldiers now prepared for the long haul as they began thier siege of the castle. The arhcers were spread throughout the palisades walls. The wooden wall was used for protection against arrows and catapults stones.

Soldiers were stacked into formation within the safety of the wall. They prepared for any attack from inside the wall or from the outside. Soldiers began to hunt in the area. Food would be a priority as they waited out the soldiers in the inside. Another 1000 soldiers would be on thier way from the wall in the morning but would not reach the position for a day. Hot oil was being brewed and prepared in case the soldiers attempted to charge the make shift palisade. The Scots did not bring catapults, but they brought plenty of skilled soldiers with bows. They will simply siege the castle till it ran out of rashions or until they surrendered.

Not a shot had been fired, a sword drawn blood. That would be up to the English in thier castle.

"The Welsh remember English rule and we also declare war in support of Scotland. Our armies are instructed to give quarter to defectors and deserters, they merely need throw down their arms and hold a cross, of any fabrication, over their heads. We implore the Sovereigns of England to surrender now to Welsh and Scottish might for the sake of their people and perhaps a bit more mercy for themselves." -King Arthur

The Welsh Armies began to advance on Hereford via Monkland in the south. In the North, they advance on Northwood, and then begin to turn south towards Shrewsbury. (Simply note anywhere there is a staged resistance Freakwars, if any. I know your army isn't quite deployed to the west at the moment.)

9,825 men, lead by Duke Eanwulf would march north in order to relieve the siege of the border castle. Another 9,825 would launch a campaign against the Welsh. The strategy against the Welsh was one of attrition. The men sent against them would ambush foraging parties and patrols and otherwise wear down the Welsh while minimizing their own casualties.

The 15,000 regular army made its way down from the border. The soldiers were armed with axes, hatchets, spears and arrows. They were trained, and were well prepared for the battle they would be facing.

To the esteemed soldiers of the King Kenneth and King Albrecht,

Make your way downwards to the border. Our soldiers await your support. If you must, leave the trebuchet's behind to ride foward. The faster you get there, the more lives you shall save. For Scotland, For Freedom. We thank you for your support and we are honoured to stand by your soldiers.

- His Majesty, King James II of Scotland

A soldier riding a horse had approached the castle. He stated the terms to the castle.

"Lay down your weapons, leave the grounds of the castle, and return to your families."

That was all they wanted.

OOC: The soldiers coming from london should arrive shortly(an hour) before the 15,000 soldiers do.

The soldiers laid down their weapons and exited the castle.

Signed for The Kingdom of England,

King Ethelwulf

We would like to suggest that King Ethelwulf be allowed to retain his title and King James be renamed High King James.

King James II of Scotland had rode from the North for a day, alone, to catch wind of this victory. He mounted the Castle walls as the Englishmen disarmed themselves and stood amongst the brave Scottish and Irish soldiers.

"Countrymen, today marks a great change in history. Today, Scotland stands upon its own two feet. These two feet ar then held together by our island brothers, the Irish and the English. We have come a step closer to uniting the Isles under the flag of Ulster, the flag of unity between cultures. And now, it shall unify us with England. We shall take on another brother, and fight along side them.

True is the charge of the Scottish, barefoot, bare torso, a strapping lad with a heart of an ox and the shout of a lion. His charge as true as his love for his country. Let thier charge no longer be silenced, let the earth quake with the thousands of men who charge into battle for the freedom of his country. The Irish, clubbed many times into insensibility, but that each time on returning to consciousness took up the fight anew; They were a small nation that could never be got to accept thier own defeat and has never surrendered her soul to another. Great comrades, and great friends. Now, we stand with our once enemies, the English. They stood, and were honourable enough to take on thier own defeat. They shall be our brothers, our countrymen, and we shall work for a common goal, the prosperity that is this Kingdom.

For Scotland, For England, For Ireland!

Our culture is one, and our mission is clear, let us go forth and become the greatest of countries, the greatest of kingdoms, the greatest of men!"

He looked at the treaty that would give peace to the land, and he looked at his Englishmen.

"Let this...the treaty of Kay Castle, be for a lasting brotherhood. A brotherhood in the name of peace and prosperity throughout the kingdom."

He signed,

For the Kingdom of Scotland, Ireland, and England,

His Majesty, King James II of Scotland.

King Ethelwulf will become a High Duke, and an heir to the throne. He will also be the regional Duke of London. His Dukes shall remain in place.
