With Yuktobania finally rebuilt back to it's former splendor before the Civil War, as well as significant improvements in Health Care (OOC: a Hosptal and maxed out Clinics), the Yuke Government can finally continue working on it's foreign affairs. Prime Minister Reznov had earlier wanted to meet with the leaders of Slavorussia to discuss about economic issues, but had failed to do so because of reconstruction efforts, finally after many months, she can finally pursue this idea.

She wrote a letter to the leader of Slavorussia

Dear Leader of Slavorussia or whoever it may concern,

I wish to establish a working relationship, both politically and economically with Slavorussia. I also want to discuss how to deal with the land dispute of Ycarnia between Slavorussia and Vaulo-Buryatia. I look forward to meeting you as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Catherine Reznov

Prime Minister of Yuktobania.

Dear Catherine Reznov,

It would be my pleasure to sit down with you and talk about formal relations between Yuktobania and Slavorussia. Although I hope you don’t have your heart set on resolving the Yacrania land dispute, since we have no contact with Vauleo-Buryatia, and we have no intention of restarting a relationship with such a impetuous state. Having said that, I’d be glad to host a meeting in Slavorussia, or visit Yuktobania if you’d like.

Sincerely
Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister

We could hold the meeting in Cinigrad, the Yuktobanian Capital City. Although it is unfortunate that we could not discuss this dispute in an attempt to foster peace between two Russian nations, it is an honor for the Prime Minister of Slavorussia to come and discuss formal relations with each other.

Sincerely,
Catherine Reznov
Prime Minister of Yuktobania

OOC: Hopefully without pissing off the guy 5 times bigger than I am.

Cinigrad sounds perfect. I’ll arrange to visit as soon as possible.

Some time later an Ilyushin Il-96 with the emblem of the Slavorussian Empire printed on it’s tail lands in Cinigrad. The Slavorussian delegation, made up of the Prime Minister, his aides, several Foreign Ministry officials, and their aides walk out onto the tarmac for their first meeting with an Asian nation, since Slavorussia’s withdrawal from India.

“The honor is all ours Miss Reznov. We don’t get out so thank you for inviting us to your country.”

Dmitry introduces the members of his delegation, his chief aides the foreign ministry officials, and his security chief. As they all approach the limousines Dmitry turns, smiles and says “It feels good to be invited to Asia to talk about something other than territory.”

All the delgates entered into the state limos and the motorcade groups would be driven to the Presidential Building in the center of the city.

Both delegations would then be escorted to the large meeting room. The meeting room was a brightly lit, with clear white paint. In the center of the room had a glass table and black leather chairs (the ones with the wheels on them) The leaders usually sit at the ends of the table while the delegation sat at the opposing ends.

Catherine Reznov was the first to speak, "Okay, let us get down to business. My first order of business is to formally open relations between the two nations. I know that both Yuktobania and Slavorusssia could try to open up to talks, especially so that other Russian nations can follow our example."

“I agree with you Miss. Reznov. It is time for change in Russia. Since the RUSSIAN Pact we’ve held a strong resentment for other Russian nations, but I think if we can find some common ground, and I know we can, then we look beyond past mistakes. What do you think about exchanging ambassadors?”

“Wonderful,” Dmitry gestures to the man sitting to his right. He’s a man in his fifties, with a Franz Josef beard. “This is the Grand Duke Konstantin,. He’s the Tsar‘s first cousin twice removed. He‘s very eager to serve the Tsar‘s foreign ministry in Cinigrad. He was formerly the ambassador to the Northern Empire, so he‘s adapted to the area.”

ooc: yay for extended family structures!

Reznov said, "We are pleased to work with someone who is familiar with the former Northern Empire. We were friends with the Empire before it collapsed, some nations have said that Yuktobania is the successor state, though we always say that the claims are false."

She paused for a bit, then said, "Let's move on. We've heard of the recent situation going on in Europe, with what Germany and the Holy Roman Empire going at it. At this point, it is a daunting situation, especially since they have come close to war, if not going outright to conflict. I ask, What are you planning to do to ensure peace in the region?"

In situations when two parties who are both allied to the third, usually forces the third to be neutral. This is currently the stance of the Slavorussian government, and it will remain that way. Frankly my hands are tied, but we’ll continue to push for peace. unless the threat of nuclear war becomes a reality. At that point we’ll be forced to step in and stop both sides form destroying not only themselves, but the rest of Europe as well.
