Hunt for a murderous remnant

OOC: then you hit the ice that sinks down several hundred meters into the ocean :v: Unless you somehow invent a buoy that dives to a specific depth, and can move up and down on command, you're not getting in there. Sorry

You'd still have the problem of the ice echo too.

OOC: Didn't know about the ice noise so scratch that idea, though you can easily build a bouy that holds a depth to plus or minus 5-10 meters.

In that case we guess it would be our best to lay a siege on the Vostok forces. Perhaps we could also launch some deniable special operations if and when we can ascertain the location of these submarines? We have a team of Marine Commandos specially trained for Antarctic waters stationed in Gangothri for this purpose.

We suggest that we insert them covertly using Zodiac power boats over the Ross Ice Shelf whence they can dive towards the general area of the submarines. Once they reach underneath the Ross Ice Shelf they can use a magnetometer to sense the magnetic variation of the area thus scouting out the enemy submarines.

The commandos could then swim towards these submarines and attach mines to it which can be remotely detonated.

None of the equipments can ever be linked to either Cochin or Promised Land, and the numerous ice bergs in this stretch of sea would make it impossible for Dranagg to find or track our operatives entering or exiting the area. Even the blowing up of the submarines themselves might be mistaken for natural activity as acoustic characteristics of masses of ice being sheared produce sounds similar to that of explosions.

What does Promised Land think?

You know the capabilities of your forces better than we do. If they are indeed capable of this, it sounds like a marvelously simple plan, with few chances of it backfiring.

Yes, it is a sound plan.

Aboard the Flagship, VSSR-0349 Leninskaya:

"What do you mean the oxygen will last only 3 days?!?"

-That's the sad truth, Admiral. We're running diesel submarines here, not nuclear.

"CRAP! How bout the other subs?"

-They're short on oxygen too. Diesel will last another week.

"Lets hold out and see what we can do."

-Aye Aye

Classified to Promised Land:

Though we have no navy as of yet, is there anything we can do to help at all? Many Mandalorians lost loved ones in their uncalled for nuclear atack on our capital, so we would love to destroy these bloodthirsty maniacs.

OOC: Is there any possibility of soldier-soldier combat here?

We are sorry, but with no navy, and being so far from the location of the hunt, there is little you can do. You would do best to focus on efforts of re-building.

OOC: 'fraid not. Sorry.
